Our take on this /// Verdict
The Tata Aria 4x2 Pure LX, although discontinued, remains a notable vehicle in the Indian market for its unique blend of SUV, MPV, and crossover features. My experience with this vehicle highlights its robust 2.2-liter VARICOR engine, which delivers 148 BHP and 320 Nm of torque, making it quite capable on both city roads and highways. The vehicles spacious interior, with a seating capacity of seven, is a significant advantage for families or those needing ample space. However, the Arias pricing was a major deterrent, as it was often perceived as being too expensive compared to its competitors. Despite this, the Aria offers a comfortable ride, good handling, and a range of features like rear AC vents, power steering, and advanced safety features such as ABS, EBD, and traction control. Overall, while it may not have been a commercial success, the Tata Aria 4x2 Pure LX is a solid choice for those seeking a versatile and powerful vehicle.
Price
The Tata Aria 4x2 Pure LX was priced at around 11.01 lakh (ex-showroom) in Delhi before it was discontinued. When considering the on-road price, you would need to factor in additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, which could push the total cost to approximately 13-14 lakh. This pricing was one of the key factors that affected the vehicles sales, as it positioned the Aria in a competitive segment where other models like the Toyota Innova were more favorably priced. Despite the higher cost, the Aria offered a comprehensive package of features and performance, making it a value-for-money proposition for those who prioritized these aspects.
