USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Nissan Teana 250XL is a luxury sedan that stands out for its comfort, smooth engine, and spacious interior. It is particularly suited for those who value a chauffeur-driven experience, as it offers exceptionally comfortable rear seats and a silky smooth ride. However, its high price point and limited fuel efficiency might be deterrents for some buyers. Despite being discontinued, the Teana 250XL remains a solid choice for those seeking a premium sedan with a strong focus on comfort and performance.
Price
In India, the Nissan Teana 250XL was priced in the range of Rs. 21.14 lakh to Rs. 24.89 lakh (ex-showroom). When considering on-road prices, you could expect to pay around Rs. 24.78 lakhs in cities like Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai. The pricing reflects the vehicles premium nature and the fact that it was imported as a completely built unit (CBU). While the prices may seem steep, they align with the vehicles luxurious features and performance.
Latest Updates
Thursday, 21 November 2024 07:46 PM The Nissan Teana 250XL, once a luxury sedan in India, has been discontinued and is no longer available in the market. This decision was part of Nissans global strategy to streamline its product lineup. I think this move might have been necessary, but its a shame to see such a comfortable and feature-rich car go.
Sunday, 19 May 2013 07:44 AM In 2013, Nissan unveiled the third generation of the Teana, but it did not make its way to the Indian market. Instead, the focus shifted to other models. This generation was notable for its improved CVT transmission and enhanced fuel efficiency. I believe this could have been a great update for Indian buyers, but it seems they missed out.
Saturday, 19 May 2012 12:50 PM The Nissan Teana 250XL was based on the Nissan D platform, similar to the North American Nissan Maxima and Altima. This platform provided a stable and comfortable ride, which was appreciated by many buyers. I believe the platform choice was a wise decision.
Thursday, 26 January 2012 02:36 PM The Nissan Teana 250XL came with advanced safety features such as ABS, VSA, and four airbags. It also had a robust braking system with ventilated discs at the front and rear. These features made it a safe choice for Indian roads. I think safety was one of its strong points.
Thursday, 26 January 2012 03:52 PM The Teana 250XL had a mileage of 11.07 kmpl, which was relatively good for a luxury sedan in its class. The car was powered by a 2.5-liter V6 engine paired with a CVT transmission, ensuring smooth and efficient performance. I believe the fuel efficiency was a key selling point.
Thursday, 26 January 2012 10:05 PM Nissan introduced the Teana 250XL in India as a completely built unit (CBU), which made it quite pricey, with a range of Rs. 21.46 lakh to Rs. 25.91 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Despite the high price, it offered a luxurious driving experience. I think the premium feel justified the cost to some extent.
Friday, 16 December 2011 09:20 AM The Nissan Teana 250XL was known for its plush cabin and comfortable ride, making it a favorite among executives. However, it had some flaws, such as shallow front seats and lack of steering wheel reach adjustment. Despite these, it remained a popular choice for its smooth 2.5-liter engine and good CVT gearbox. I think the comfort it offered was hard to match in its segment.
Friday, 16 December 2011 08:09 AM In December 2011, the Nissan Teana 250XL was available at a discounted price of Rs. 17.99 lakh for its base variant at a Nissan dealership in Pune. This was a significant drop from its original price, making it more accessible to buyers. I believe this was a great opportunity for those looking for a luxury sedan at a lower cost.
Thursday, 01 December 2011 10:20 PM The Teana 250XL had a spacious interior with features like cooled seats, a premium audio system, and ample storage space. These comforts made it an ideal choice for long drives and daily commuting. I believe the interior was one of its strongest selling points.
Monday, 19 May 2008 08:03 PM In 2008, Nissan revealed the second generation of the Teana at the Beijing Auto Show, which later made its way to India. This generation saw significant design and feature updates, including new headlights, taillights, and interior enhancements. I think the new design was a welcome change.
Mileage
Friday, 22 November 2024 11:03 AM The mileage of the Nissan Teana 250XL is a crucial factor to consider. With an ARAI mileage of 11.07 kmpl for the automatic petrol variant, it is on the lower side compared to other sedans in its class. This translates to higher running costs, especially for frequent users. However, if you prioritize comfort and performance over fuel efficiency, the Teana 250XL still offers a compelling package.

My car gave a mileage of 12.5kmpl. I drive the car at 100kmph. I drove for 1000kms. I checked thrice and I myself got surprised. I drained the fuel. Checked with a full tank. Put the meter to zero and again after 1000kms I filled the tank and check it. It’s awesome

Best Features: Excellent stability.

Pros: My car gave a mileage of 12.5kmpl.
