About
The Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4 MIVEC is a compact crossover SUV that was introduced in India in 2008. It features a 2.4-liter MIVEC petrol engine producing 168 horsepower, paired with a 6-speed CVT transmission. The vehicle is known for its excellent ground clearance, making it suitable for navigating Indian roads, and its 4-wheel drive capability enhances its off-road prowess. The interior is equipped with features like ventilated front seats, a Rockford Fosgate sound system, and a split boot opening with a bench. The rear seats offer a 6040 split folding feature, and the boot space is generous, although the rear wheel wells intrude slightly. The Outlander also comes with inbuilt rear parking sensors and large outside rearview mirrors for better visibility. Despite its age, the Outlander still offers a fun and comfortable driving experience, but potential buyers must weigh this against the challenges of limited after-sales support and spare part availability.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4 MIVEC from 2010 is a mixed bag for potential buyers in India. On the positive side, it offers a peppy engine with 168 horsepower, coupled with a 6-speed CVT transmission that, despite initial skepticism, proves to be smooth and enjoyable, especially in sport mode. The vehicle boasts excellent ground clearance, making it suitable for Indian road conditions, and its 4-wheel drive capability adds to its versatility. The Rockford Fosgate sound system and ventilated front seats are notable comfort features. However, the thin dealer network and limited availability of spares are significant drawbacks. Additionally, the rear visibility is compromised due to the small rear glass, and the beige leather interior tends to get soiled easily. Overall, its a reliable and fun-to-drive vehicle, but the after-sales support and spare part availability issues need careful consideration.
Price
When the Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4 MIVEC was launched in India in 2008, the ex-showroom price was around Rs. 20,69,000. However, for a used 2010 model, prices can vary significantly based on the condition, mileage, and location. You can expect to find a well-maintained used Outlander in the range of Rs. 7 to 10 lakhs, depending on the odometer reading and overall condition. For instance, a 2010 model with around 43,800 kilometers was purchased for Rs. 7,21,000, as reported by some owners. The on-road price would include additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, which could add another Rs. 1 to 2 lakhs to the total cost.

Mileage
Friday, 22 November 2024 12:19 PM
The mileage of the Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4 MIVEC is not its strongest suit. With a fuel efficiency of around 9.9 liters per 100 kilometers in the city and 7.8 liters per 100 kilometers on the highway, it is not the most economical option. This translates to approximately 10-12 kilometers per liter in real-world driving conditions, which is relatively low compared to other vehicles in its segment. This should be a key consideration for buyers who are concerned about running costs and fuel efficiency.
