USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Mitsubishi Montero GLS Automatic (2009) is a robust and capable SUV that stands out for its powerful engine and off-road prowess. With a 3200 cc diesel engine producing 199.3 bhp and 441 Nm of torque, this vehicle is well-suited for both on-road comfort and off-road adventures. The automatic transmission and 4WD capability make it a versatile choice. However, the vehicles age and limited availability of spare parts, as well as its relatively high maintenance costs, are factors to consider. Overall, its an excellent choice for those who prioritize performance and off-road capability, but may not be the best fit for those looking for modern features and lower running costs.
Price
The Mitsubishi Montero GLS Automatic (2009) was priced around 42.94 lakh ex-showroom in Delhi when it was available. On-road prices would have varied depending on the state and local taxes, but you could expect an additional 5-7 lakh for registration, insurance, and other costs, bringing the total to around 48-50 lakh. Given its current status as a discontinued model, prices in the used car market would be significantly lower, likely ranging from 20-30 lakh depending on the condition and mileage of the vehicle. As an older model, the resale value is not as strong as some of its competitors, but it still offers a lot of value for those seeking a powerful and capable SUV.
Mileage
Friday, 22 November 2024 06:24 AM The mileage of the Mitsubishi Montero GLS Automatic (2009) is a critical factor for potential buyers. According to ARAI, the vehicle offers a mileage of 11.56 kmpl, while city driving averages around 8.25 kmpl. Real-world experiences suggest that long-distance driving can yield around 10-11 kmpl, while city driving can be as low as 7 kmpl. These figures indicate that while the vehicle is not the most fuel-efficient, it is reasonable for its size and power output. For those concerned about running costs, careful driving habits and regular maintenance can help optimize fuel consumption.

The Price and Resale Value is Bad

One downside of the car is that there are no spare parts available. The interior does not have or include a sunroof. Exterior looks terrible for the price and resale value is bad if you decide to sell it in the near future. For this price and condition, I think a Land Cruiser would be my best bet.
