The XUV300 boasts a solid build, with a reassuring heft to the doors and excellent ride quality, even on broken roads. Price
In India, the Mahindra XUV300 Diesel is priced competitively. The ex-showroom price for the base model W4 Diesel starts around 9.8 lakh, while the mid-range W6 Diesel is priced at approximately 11.5 lakh. The top-of-the-line W8 Optional Diesel, which includes features like an auto-dimming IRVM, sunroof, and automatic transmission, is priced around 15.85 lakh for the single-tone variant and 16 lakh for the dual-tone variant. Mahindra XUV300 Diesel Review

13 May, 2015 11:23 AM

Synopsis

Mahindra is working on a new product, which is expected to be a compact SUV (sub 4-meter). It has been caught testing many times and recently got more attention due to a minor crash while testing in some hilly area. The machine is expected to be named XUV300 and the current code name comes out to be Mahindra S101. The car is said to compete the Ford EcoSport and Mahindra is willing to give more than that to the customers.

The compact SUV is expected with two engine options, petrol and a diesel one. The chances of 1.5L, 3-cylinder diesel engine is more than any other for the car, whereas no specific petrol engine could be listed for the same. A 5-speed manual transmission is expected to be used and a 20+ kmpl is expected from the diesel engine to compete with the other cars in the segment.

The styling is clearly inspired from the elder XUV500, with the same cheetah impact on the front face of the car. The size has been restricted to be less than 4 meters and the spare tyre is expected to be at the rear, as done in the EcoSport. The specifications are still to be revealed but Mahindra has indirectly hinted about a new generation of vehicle, which will have the practicability of a small car, with the styling of its most popular offering. XUV300 is expected to be priced around 8,00,000 for the diesel variant and the feature loaded approach of Mahindra will be welcomed by the customers.

Don’t buy this car not worth your money.

Bought this car recently and have only driven it 2500 km but car have shown it’s unreliability as the car literally broke down when it bumped into a small kerb yet there was no scratch anywhere but the knuckle and the axle broke, and after that I took a car trip to spiti on this car where this car showed that this is of no use as it didn’t start there at 6 degree celsius.

Best Features: Can breakdown anywhere.

Pros: Just the design.

Cons: Bad quality of product used putting the drivers life in danger as knuckle broke after a mild bump in kerb.
