Mahindra XUV300 W4 TurboSport

About
The Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport W4 is a significant upgrade to the standard XUV300, primarily due to its powerful 1.2-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine. This engine, with its direct injection and variable valve timing, produces 129bhp and 230Nm of torque, making it the most powerful compact SUV in India. The vehicle is available exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox, which is well-suited for driving enthusiasts. The TurboSport retains the excellent ride and handling balance of the standard XUV300, with a firm but comfortable ride and minimal body roll. Additional features include steering modes to adjust the weight, though the steering itself lacks feel and feedback. Cosmetically, the TurboSport gets a blacked-out front grille with red accents and new alloy wheel designs, giving it a sportier look. Overall, the XUV300 TurboSport W4 is a great choice for those who prioritize performance and driving dynamics without compromising on comfort and practicality.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport, particularly the W4 variant, is a compelling package for those seeking a fun-to-drive compact SUV. With its 1.2-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine producing 129bhp and 230Nm of torque, it stands out as the most powerful in its segment. The engines refinement and the overboost function, which adds an extra 20Nm of torque under specific driving conditions, make it a joy to drive, especially during overtaking maneuvers. However, the W4 variant, being the base trim of the TurboSport, lacks some of the features available in higher trims, such as advanced infotainment systems and certain comfort features. Despite this, the vehicles excellent ride and handling balance, coupled with its strong performance, make it a solid choice for driving enthusiasts. The only drawbacks are the lifeless steering and the somewhat firm ride, but these are minor complaints in an otherwise well-rounded package.
Price
The Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport W4 variant is priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price starts at around Rs 10.35 lakh, making it an attractive option compared to other fun-to-drive compact SUVs like the Hyundai Venue N Line. When you factor in the on-road price, which includes additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other taxes, the total comes to approximately Rs 11.5 lakh to Rs 12 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing makes the XUV300 TurboSport W4 a value-for-money proposition, especially considering its superior performance and handling capabilities.

Don’t buy this car not worth your money.

Bought this car recently and have only driven it 2500 km but car have shown it’s unreliability as the car literally broke down when it bumped into a small kerb yet there was no scratch anywhere but the knuckle and the axle broke, and after that I took a car trip to spiti on this car where this car showed that this is of no use as it didn’t start there at 6 degree celsius.

Best Features: Can breakdown anywhere.

Pros: Just the design.

Cons: Bad quality of product used putting the drivers life in danger as knuckle broke after a mild bump in kerb.
