USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition is a compelling offering, especially for those looking to add a touch of exclusivity to their vehicle. Introduced during the festive season, this special edition stands out with its distinctive exterior and interior enhancements. The blacked-out radiator grille, dark chrome details, and rear guard with black powder coating give it a sleek and rugged appearance. Inside, the beige interior with black leatherette upholstery and the Comfort Kit, which includes cushions and neck pillows, enhance the comfort and aesthetic appeal. However, the powertrain remains the same as the regular Scorpio Classic, which might be a bit of a letdown for those expecting more under the hood. Overall, its a great option for those who value the Scorpios robustness and want a unique look, but it may not be the best choice for those seeking significant performance upgrades.
Price
The Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition is priced competitively, considering the additional features it offers. The ex-showroom prices for the Scorpio Classic variants generally range from around Rs. 13.62 lakh to Rs. 17.42 lakh, depending on the trim level. When you factor in the special edition add-ons, the prices might see a slight increase, but it remains within the same ballpark. On-road prices, including taxes and other charges, can range from approximately Rs. 16 lakh to Rs. 21 lakh. Given the unique features and the limited availability of this special edition, the pricing seems reasonable for those who want to stand out from the standard models.
Latest Updates
Wednesday, 23 October 2024 05:41 PM Mahindra has introduced the Scorpio Classic Boss Edition, a limited edition variant of the Scorpio Classic, to capitalize on the festive season in India. This edition features several cosmetic changes, including dark chrome appliques on the front grille, fog lamp housing, bonnet scoop, and other exterior elements. It also includes a rear guard with black powder coating and rain visors. Inside, the Boss Edition boasts black seat upholstery, a comfort kit with pillows and cushions, and a rear parking camera. The engine remains the same 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine producing 130 bhp and 300 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. I think these additions give the Scorpio Classic a sleek and premium look.
Friday, 18 October 2024 09:55 AM The Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition is available in two variants: S and S11, priced at Rs 13.62 lakh and Rs 17.42 lakh, respectively, ex-showroom. This special edition is essentially a dealer-level accessory package that enhances the vehicles visual appeal and comfort features. The exterior changes include dark chrome garnish on multiple elements and a faux carbon-fibre finish for the ORVMs. I believe these upgrades will attract buyers looking for a unique and stylish SUV during the festive season.
Friday, 18 October 2024 10:10 AM Mahindra has highlighted that the Scorpio Classic Boss Edition does not include any mechanical changes, retaining the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that produces 132 bhp and 300 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The focus is on aesthetic and comfort enhancements, such as black seat upholstery, neck cushions, and a rear-view camera. This approach keeps the robust performance of the Scorpio Classic intact while offering a fresh look.
Friday, 18 October 2024 12:46 AM The Scorpio Classic Boss Edition comes with several exterior enhancements, including a front bumper extender, a silver skid plate, and a rear guard with black powder coating. The ORVM covers feature a faux carbon-fibre finish, adding a premium touch. These changes are part of a complimentary accessory package available at the dealer level. I think these additions make the Scorpio Classic look more aggressive and stylish.
Friday, 18 October 2024 02:00 AM Mahindra is offering the Scorpio Classic Boss Edition in five color options: Galaxy Grey, Diamond White, Stealth Black, Everest White, and Red Rage. This variety ensures that buyers can choose a color that suits their preferences. The interior features a blacked-out theme with black seat upholstery and amenities like neck cushions and pillows.
Friday, 18 October 2024 07:16 PM The Scorpio Classic Boss Edition is positioned as a rugged 7-seater alternative to midsize SUVs like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. With its ladder-frame design and robust engine, it appeals to those seeking a more traditional SUV experience. I believe this unique positioning will help it stand out in the market.
Friday, 18 October 2024 01:04 PM Mahindra has emphasized that the Scorpio Classic Boss Edition is a limited edition, available only during the festive season. This strategy is likely to create a sense of urgency among potential buyers, making the vehicle more appealing due to its exclusivity. I think this is a smart marketing move to boost sales during a key period.
Friday, 18 October 2024 06:45 PM The Scorpio Classic Boss Edition retains the same powertrain as the standard model, with a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine producing 130 bhp and 300 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. This ensures that the vehicles performance and reliability remain unchanged. I believe this consistency is a plus for buyers who value the Scorpio Classics known strengths.
Friday, 18 October 2024 05:14 AM Mahindra has not announced separate pricing for the Boss Edition accessories, which are available as a package at the dealer level. This approach allows buyers to opt for the additional features without a significant price hike. I think this flexibility will be appreciated by potential buyers.
Friday, 18 October 2024 02:21 AM The Scorpio Classic Boss Edition includes a range of comfort features, such as a comfort kit with pillows and cushions, and a rear parking camera, which enhances the overall driving and passenger experience. These additions make the vehicle more appealing to those looking for both style and comfort.
Mileage
Friday, 22 November 2024 05:22 AM The Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition, powered by a 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, offers a user-reported mileage of around 15 to 16 kmpl. This is decent for an SUV of its size and capabilities, especially considering its off-road prowess. For buyers concerned about mileage and running costs, this SUV strikes a good balance between performance and fuel efficiency, making it a viable choice for both city driving and long road trips.

This car was designed for rough terrains and using it in paved roads is an abuse. It's fuel consumption is just unique it ranges around 13km/l & as long as it gets its services you're good to go.

Best Features: Its power is just unique and it has a good offroad performance.

Pros: Its fuel consumption, power & reliability is super
