Summary
Major is an old styled UV in the power packed segment coming from none other than Mahindra. This model has currently been discontinued and has now been replaced by Thar. It came with a 2523cc powerful 4 stroke engine which gave a maximum power of 63 HP @ 3200 rpm and a maximum torque of 176.5 Nm @ 1500 rpm. The last model was sold in 2009 and was pulled out of market thereafter. It was priced at a ex-showroom price of 5,10,000. In this segment this proved to be a rival to Maruti Gypsy and Force Motors Gurkha Diesel.
