It came with a price tag of INR 5,10,000 when last sold from the showrooms, which was quite big amount for that time.

The cubic capacity of Mahindra Major Jeep is 2523 cc . It is powered by 4-Stroke, 4 Cylinder, Inline, MDI 3200 TC Direct Injection Diesel engine which generates maximum horse power of 63 HP @ 3200 RPM (IS) and churns out maximum torque of 18 kgm @ 1500 RPM (IS).
