Our take on this /// Verdict
The Mahindra e-Verito Electric D2 is a practical and economical option for those looking for a city commuter. While it may not impress with its design or performance, it excels in comfort and ride quality. The lack of zippiness is noticeable, but the ECO and BOOST drive modes help manage power efficiently. The cars reliability is a strong point, with a five-year or 100,000 km warranty and robust battery and motor technology. However, the limited range of 110 km and the absence of advanced features at this price point are significant drawbacks. For basic city use, especially for those with short daily commutes, the e-Verito D2 is a viable choice, but it falls short for those seeking a more comprehensive EV experience.
Price
The Mahindra e-Verito Electric D2 is priced at approximately Rs 9.13 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. When you factor in the on-road costs, including registration, insurance, and other charges, the price can go up to around Rs 10-11 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. Given its price, the e-Verito D2 offers good value for money, especially considering its low running and maintenance costs. However, the price could be a deterrent for some, as it does not come with many advanced features that are typically expected in this segment. Despite this, the cost savings on fuel and maintenance make it an attractive option for those prioritizing economy over luxury.
