Saturday, 24 August 2024 09:27 AM Mahindra has confirmed that the Thar.e, the electric version of the Thar, will be launched in India by late 2026 or early 2027. The Thar.e will be based on Mahindra’s INGLO P1 skateboard architecture, offering a longer wheelbase and increased ground clearance for enhanced off-road capabilities. It is expected to come with a battery pack capacity ranging between 60 kWh and 80 kWh, providing a driving range of approximately 450-500 km on a single charge. I believe this will be a game-changer in the electric SUV segment, especially for off-road enthusiasts.
Saturday, 17 August 2024 04:01 AM Mahindra showcased the Thar.e concept in South Africa, revealing a five-door electric SUV that retains the classic Thar design elements but with modern features. The Thar.e is expected to come with a 75kWh battery pack, a dual-electric motor setup, and 4WD as standard. It will also feature a big touchscreen system and a digital drivers display. I think the use of recycled and sustainable materials in its construction is a great step towards sustainability.
Saturday, 17 August 2024 02:24 PM Mahindra plans to launch the Thar.e with several innovative features, including interchangeable headlamps and tail lamps, and a cabin designed with blocky, square elements similar to the current Thar models. The interior will also include dual digital screens and a massive centre console, with many elements being removable and washable. I believe this focus on practicality and durability will make the Thar.e a favorite among adventure seekers.
Wednesday, 31 July 2024 08:16 AM Mahindra has announced that the Thar.e will be part of their broader strategy to launch several electric SUVs in India, with the Thar.e scheduled to launch by March 2026. It will feature a 60 kWh battery pack, two electric motors, and an automatic transmission, along with Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2L) capability and fast charging. I believe this comprehensive approach to electrification will position Mahindra as a leader in the EV market.
Wednesday, 15 November 2023 02:33 PM The Thar.e is speculated to be priced around Rs. 25 lakh in India, making it an attractive option in the electric SUV market. With its expected launch in 2026, it will join Mahindras expanding lineup of electric vehicles, including the XUV.e and BE series. I think the competitive pricing will help Mahindra gain a strong foothold in the Indian electric vehicle market.
