Hyundai Verna Petrol ABS

About
The 2023 Hyundai Verna is a well-rounded midsize sedan that has undergone significant improvements. It features a striking exterior design with a fastback-style roof and muscular rear haunches. Inside, the cabin is revamped with a layered dashboard, a 10.25-inch curved infotainment system, and dual 10.25-inch screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment. The rear-seat space has been significantly increased, offering more legroom, knee room, and shoulder room. The Verna comes in two petrol engine options a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine and a more powerful 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, both available with manual and automatic transmissions. Safety is a key highlight with Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, and other advanced safety features. The ride quality has been improved with a balanced suspension setup that handles both city roads and highways well. Overall, the Verna is a strong contender in its segment, offering a blend of performance, comfort, and advanced technology.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The 2023 Hyundai Verna petrol, particularly the 1.5-litre turbo petrol variant, is a significant upgrade in the midsize sedan segment. What stands out is its powerful and refined engine, delivering 160 hp and 253 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful in its class. The driving experience is enhanced by the smooth 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT transmissions. The Verna also boasts a generous increase in rear-seat space, a feature-rich cabin with a 10.25-inch curved infotainment system, and cooled as well as heated front seats. Safety is a strong suit with Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, and other advanced safety features. However, the lack of steering feedback at high speeds and the slightly stiffer suspension are minor drawbacks. Overall, the Verna is a confident and enjoyable car to drive, especially within city limits, and it certainly moves up a notch in terms of performance, comfort, and technology.
Price
The pricing of the 2023 Hyundai Verna in India varies based on the trim and transmission options. The ex-showroom price for the base 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol manual starts around 10.90 lakh, while the top-of-the-line 1.5-litre turbo petrol DCT can go up to around 17.38 lakh. On-road prices, including taxes and other costs, can range from approximately 12.50 lakh to 20.50 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. From my perspective, the pricing is competitive given the extensive feature list, powerful engine options, and advanced safety features. The Verna offers good value for money, especially when considering the premium feel and the latest technology it brings to the table.
Mileage
Friday, 22 November 2024 06:46 AM The mileage of the 2023 Hyundai Verna petrol is quite impressive. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine offers an ARAI-certified mileage of around 20 kmpl with the CVT and up to 19 kmpl with the manual transmission. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, despite its higher power output, manages an ARAI-certified mileage of 20 kmpl with the manual and 20.6 kmpl with the DCT. In real-world conditions, you can expect around 15-18 kmpl in city driving and up to 20 kmpl on highways, depending on driving habits and road conditions. This makes the Verna a viable option for those concerned about running costs.
