Additionally, the gearing is closely stacked, requiring frequent gear shifts in manual mode. Despite these drawbacks, the Sonata excels in comfort and space, making it a viable option for those prioritizing these aspects.

The Hyundai Sonata diesel variants were priced competitively during their time in the Indian market. The manual diesel variant of the Sonata Transform started at around Rs. 16.13 lakh ex-showroom, while the automatic diesel variant was priced at approximately Rs. 17.15 lakh ex-showroom.
