Hyundai i10 1.2 Sportz AT (Old Model)

About
The Hyundai i10 1.2 Sportz AT is a compact hatchback that has been popular in India for its reliability and comfort. Powered by a 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 80 bhp, this car is well-suited for city driving. The engine is refined and silent, making it a pleasant drive within urban limits. The car features a 4-speed automatic transmission, which, although not the most efficient, is convenient for city traffic. The interior is well-appointed with features like Bluetooth connectivity, a CD player, and a better-looking dashboard compared to its competitors. The suspension is tuned for city use, providing a comfortable ride, and the steering is light and responsive. However, the rear legroom is somewhat limited, and the car lacks some premium features in the lower variants. Overall, the i10 Sportz AT is a solid choice for those seeking a comfortable, easy-to-drive city car with good build quality.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hyundai i10 1.2 Sportz AT, particularly the older model, is a mixed bag when it comes to overall performance and value. While it excels in terms of build quality and interior comfort, with features like a better-looking dashboard, Bluetooth connectivity, and a more refined engine, it falls short in other areas. The 4-speed automatic transmission, though convenient for city driving, feels inadequate, especially when shifting from 3rd to 4th gear, which can be quite jarring. The driving comfort is also compromised due to the upright drivers seat, which can cause discomfort during long drives. However, for city driving, the i10s refined 1.2-liter engine and well-tuned suspension make it a comfortable ride. If you prioritize comfort over performance and are looking for a reliable city car, the i10 Sportz AT could be a good choice, but its essential to weigh these pros and cons carefully.
Price
The price of the Hyundai i10 1.2 Sportz AT in India, for the older models, would typically range from around Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 6.5 lakh ex-showroom, depending on the location and any available discounts. On-road prices, including taxes, registration, and other costs, could go up to Rs. 7 lakh to Rs. 8 lakh. Its worth noting that Hyundai often offers discounts and promotions, which can significantly reduce the on-road price. For instance, some users have reported getting discounts of up to Rs. 75,000, making the car more affordable. However, prices can vary based on the state and local dealership, so its advisable to check with local dealers for the most accurate pricing.
Mileage
Friday, 22 November 2024 06:48 AM The mileage of the Hyundai i10 1.2 Sportz AT is a significant consideration for many buyers. Unfortunately, the automatic petrol variant does not offer impressive mileage, with an average of around 10 kmpl in city driving conditions. If fuel efficiency is a top priority, the manual diesel variant would be a better option, offering up to 22-25 kmpl. However, if you are willing to compromise on mileage for the convenience of an automatic transmission, the i10 Sportz AT still provides a comfortable and reliable driving experience.

Good Car For Small Family

I am using it for more than 10 years. It's very handy especially in city traffic and narrow roads. Gear lever positioned near to steering making gear shift easy. Even though maintenance free, I have to change silencers after 4-5 years, stabiliser bar broken after 5000 kms. It's a good car if you are not much worried about mileage. On highways 15-16 kmpl, city traffic 10-12 kmpl

Best Features: Stronger Body, Nice Interiors

Pros: Drivability, good looking, better interiors, comfort, better accessibility to gear lever

Cons: Poor milage, lower pick up
