User Reviews for Hyundai Accent (2013)
The legend Hyundai Accent
I own Accent executive 2011 model, I'm the second owner actually. After watching Fast n Furious series and Tokyo Drift movie also its theme music, I felt to learn driving, went to driving school, learnt, got DL then planned for Maruti Swift but couldn't get as per my budget and Accent was my second option. Searched for the black one, took it for a test drive and the hated thing which I liked was "Hitting an auto rickshaw while on half clutch with very slight throttle", I gotta know to the pickup n power but unfortunately couldn't buy black due to finance issues. Waited for more than a year, saw a metallic grey one, parked in wide angle, felt like "Phaaa, look at the legend", took a test drive, liked it and owned it, power steering was so best where we can handle easily in any roads, half clutch n slight throttle spins the wheel, then it just wrooms within seconds, atomic pickup in performance, best breaking as your mind says the spot where you wanna stop. Also its so comforts for 5 people to travel, best and hard built. I'm from bangalore, I rarely take my Accent on road (but not everyday or every week) but had been into gully, busy and congested areas, had been to ghat section and many highways but Accent is still at its best, in our control. Even there is Cons which is not so highlighted. Pickup, power slightly drops when we turn on AC but after after crossing 15kmph its back to normal also mileage drops by 2 or 3kmpl. I usually get 12kmpl in city limits and 16 or 17kmpl in highways without AC but still roads highlights Hyundai Accent whenever it enters onto, Accent at its top best and drivers make them legend.
Best Features: Power windows, Central Locking, Stereo with 4 Speakers, Good Handling, Pickup, Power and Performance at ghat section roads and highways.
Pros: Looks, Performance, Power, Comfort, Handling, drive.
Cons: Very slight power drop when AC is On, Mileage
Hyundai Accent Executive Discussion
My friend bought this car last year. it's good &.maintanance also very easy.
Better go for good conditon used diesel accent awailable on 1,20,000, try it , keep etra money at your bank , interest is enough for diesel and maintenance.
it is very spacious ...........
Its a good looking car as well as luxurious. It is fuel efficient car. Its performance is really awesome
Fuel Consumption:
Highway11.00 kmpl very good
its luxurious, comfortable superb
everything about this car is awesome but security feature like ABS missing..shud b added...
good looking luxurious car
fantastic car................
its to old Dont buy if u have some sense
hi i am kanti, bought a accent recently after wagon-r, got new experience after driving. excellent drive even in cng. do not ask anybody for purchase, just go & buy, if your think a car in medium range.
It's luxurious. It's comfortable and ac cools down within 2 minutes. But from one thing i am very disappointed of my hyundai accent executive ie. It's pick-up. Once, my trip was of himachal pradesh and when i reach there i found the pick-up of my car very poor without A.C. whereas in highways it's pick-up is very excellent.I will give 8/10. but with A.C. it just like gets stuck. but it's true to say that fuel efficiency is also very good.
Its a good looking car as well as luxurious. It has more fuel efficient engine with 4 inline cylinders. Its performance is really superb.
hye, myself bharat from panchkula (hry.) hyundai accent is my dream car . words r few to explain about this car. i really like this car too much. i know its mileage is low. but it costs is suitable.
Hi to all
Hyundai Accent Executive is the most attractive car loaded with the most required features in the car with lowest price tag. I have company fitted CNG 2009 model car. It has zero maintainance and gives mileage of 20km/kg. Lovely car to drive and recommend.

Hi, please contact at 022-25384980 for any Hyundai Vehicle.
Hi, I purchased Hyundai Accent in Mid February after lots of research. Performance of this car is above average. I find its pickup and fuel efficiency is not so good. In bangalore city traffic conditions, it just gives 9.5kmpl and with AC on, it just slogs in traffic. But the driving comfort in bad roads is very good.
In April I drove it for long drive to goto costal karnataka and I really enjoyed its driving comfort. I can rate 7/10 for its over all performance and any one can buy it comfortably as its very much worthy for its price.
But lot of new models are available in the market with competitive price and Hyundai may phaseout this model soon.
I believe Maruti has impressive lineups in Sedan catagory and fuel efficiency is better in maruti vehicles. So if you are fan of Hyundai go for this car else choose other new products.
Hi Vijay,
In the price range of 5 lakhs to 6.5 lakhs the best sedan at this time is Fiat Linea..... The dynamic model fits your budget but in my opinion you should go for the emotion variant..... It has got everything..... looks, spacious interiors & comes fully loaded with all the features like
- automatic climate control
- dash integrated music system
- skoda style keyless entry
- alloys, fog lights
- rear windsreen blind
- rear centre armrest with cup holders
- driver armrest which is also height adjustable
- best in class boot space
- electically adjustable ORVMs
with other basic features like power steering, power windows, tinted glass etc.
The emotion model is priced at Rs. 680000.00...... The only thing that worries me is that it is a FIAT..!! But Tata motors assures that customers will get the best of service and spares at very resonable cost....
As far as new models are concerned Tata may launch Indigo Vista Sedan in coming months but in comparison to Linea it stands nowhere in terms of looks and features....
You should check out the linea at your nearest showroom and i hope you can't go for any other car after that!!
Hi Alexander,
For the price range of 5-6.5 lakhs, what car would you suggest? I like the Accent but the general view from family and friends is that it is an 'old' model. Whats your take on that? Am ready to wait for the right car, incase you would suggest some new models that may be due to be released soon..
Thanks,
Vijay
Hi, Thanks for the detailed info.
Regards..Prakash
Hi....
From the cars you have selected - Ikon, Dzire and Logan are available in both petrol and diesel except the accent which is available in only one model with petrol engine. You have not written your budget because there is huge difference in prices of Diesel and Petrol Variants which can go upto one lakh depending on the car.
As far as looks are concerned Accent Executive is best from all the sedans. Hyundai is also offering additional discounts for the month of december making the price very tempting (Rs. 4,89,000 - Ex-Showroom New Delhi). It is not very fuel effcient with around 14kmpl but it is a tried and tested vehicle backed by Hyundai's vast dealer network. The interiors are well thought with all beige theme including the leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob.
Maruti Swift Dzire is very competitively priced car but the waiting period of 10 months for diesel variant & around 3 months for petrol version is very long. Also the interiors of Dzire feel a bit cramped. Except these two thing Dzire is a true value for money car. It is also the most feature rich sedan in its segment with dual airbags, ABS, Climate Control System, Steering mounted controls for Music system and much more.....
Ford has recently launched the facelifted model of ikon and has also introduced a new variant with fiesta's diesel engine. The engine is very fuel efficient with 20Kmpl+ in mixed driving conditions. But the problem with ikon is that it feels a bit dated in terms of looks. The quality of interiors is very low grade and cheap. Though Ford has priced the diesel model for Rs. 5.29 lakhs and petrol variant at Rs. 4.59 lakhs but i dont think quality concious consumers will go for ikon.
Now to the Logan. Except the looks Logan has got everything. Superb Fuel Efficiency, Rock Solid Chassis, Good service network & spacious interiors. But the sales of logan are declining day by day forcing Mahindra to cut productions by almost sixty percent!! They have also launched limited edition models to woo customers but they should understand one simple thing - Look Does Matter..!!
In my opinion you should go for Hyundai Accent if you want to purchase the car right away and your budget is below 5 lakh rupees .
Take care.....
Hi, I am planning to purchase a sadan in few days. I am considering Accent Executive, Ford Icon, Logan and Dezire Lxi, but am not sure which one will be better option. My usage will be around 1500KM monthly. Considering the Fuel efficiency, comfort and maintanance can any one suggest which will be better car?
Thanks....Prakah
