Around 2007, the TVS Victor was discontinued.  It was revived by TVS in 2016 after a break of more than eight years, and has continued to be produced ever since. In the company's range, the TVS Victor is situated above the Star City Plus.

Saturday, 19 August 2023 01:03 AM The TVS Victor, which was discontinued in 2007, had a 125cc engine produced under license from AVL, delivering 10hp and 9.8Nm of torque. It was paired with a 4-speed gearbox and had an all-up shifting pattern. The bike was known for its fuel efficiency, with TVS claiming 70kmpl, though users reported around 51kmpl. I think the lack of an electric start and cold start issues, especially in winter, were significant drawbacks.
Friday, 18 August 2023 02:50 PM Before its discontinuation, the TVS Victor 2007 model was available in a front disc brake variant, which was introduced later in its production run. The bike retailed for around Rs 48,600 ex-showroom. I believe the addition of the disc brake was a step in the right direction, but it came a bit too late to save the model.
Thursday, 19 September 2019 02:59 PM The TVS Victor 125 was launched in 2004 and gained popularity for its family-oriented design and reasonable performance. However, it faced issues such as cold starts, particularly in colder weather, and lacked an electric start option. This made it less appealing to some buyers. I think these issues contributed significantly to its eventual discontinuation.
Thursday, 19 September 2019 08:09 PM In its heyday, the TVS Victor 125 boasted a 125cc engine that produced 10hp and 9.8Nm of torque, mated to a 4-speed gearbox. Despite its technical specifications, the bike had a reputation for being fuel-efficient, although actual mileage varied from the claimed 70kmpl.
Thursday, 19 September 2019 06:37 AM The TVS Victor was priced competitively at around Rs 48,000 ex-showroom before it was discontinued. This pricing was part of its appeal, making it a value-for-money option in the 125cc segment. I believe the pricing strategy was one of the stronger points of this bike.
Wednesday, 03 February 2016 07:10 PM The TVS Victor 125 was part of TVSs attempt to establish itself in the 125cc motorcycle segment. Although it had a decent run from 2004 to 2007, it ultimately failed to sustain long-term sales and was discontinued. I think the market competition and internal issues within TVS played a significant role in this decision.
Wednesday, 03 February 2016 10:32 AM In 2007, when the TVS Victor was discontinued, it marked the end of an era for this particular model. The bike had its loyal followers but couldnt overcome its technical and usability issues. I believe that with some more development, it could have been a more successful model.
Friday, 08 January 2016 05:39 AM The TVS Victor 125 had a distinctive design that was part of its appeal. It was styled to look sharp and modern while retaining family design cues. However, the design alone wasnt enough to keep it in the market. I think the combination of design and performance could have been more balanced.
Friday, 08 January 2016 06:59 PM Before its discontinuation, TVS had plans to revamp the Victor, but it ultimately decided to discontinue the model instead. This decision was likely due to a combination of factors including market performance and internal strategies. I believe this was a missed opportunity for TVS to refine and relaunch the model.
