Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hero Electric Optima CX with a dual battery setup is a mixed bag when it comes to overall performance and user experience. On the positive side, it offers a commendable range of up to 140 kilometers on a full charge, which is quite appealing for daily commuters. The scooter is also lightweight and easy to handle, making it a good option for ladies, aged people, and children. However, the service experience has been a major letdown for many users, with frequent breakdowns and poor response from service centers. The brakes are not very effective and can be noisy, and the plastic body panels are prone to damage even without significant impact. Despite its attractive design and low running costs, the overall reliability and service issues make it a cautious buy.
Price
The Hero Electric Optima CX with a dual battery pack is priced at 85,190 ex-showroom in Delhi, post the FAME II subsidy. This price can vary slightly depending on state subsidies, but it generally falls in the same range across different states. On-road prices would include additional costs such as registration, insurance, and any other local taxes, which could add around 10,000 to 15,000 to the ex-showroom price. Considering the features and the range it offers, the price seems competitive, especially for those looking to transition from petrol-powered scooters to electric ones. However, the ongoing service costs and potential repair expenses need to be factored into the overall cost of ownership.

User Reviews for Hero Electric Optima
Reviews Submitted by Maxabout Community
Within six months of purchase, I had to replace the battery of my hero bike twice. This is unacceptable and I feel the company should take measures to ensure the battery lasts at least one to two years or 10,000 km, or 500 charging cycles. Furthermore, the plastic body of the bike does not offer enough strength for the price. To top it off, the company does not respond to phone calls or emails. This indicates that Hero is an extremely mismanaged organization.
The quality of the material used in the scooter is very poor, and within a couple of months the joint of the seat breaks. Even the material used for children's toys is of higher quality. When you use the brakes, there is no shock absorption. The quality is extremely bad. In addition, there is no indication of the battery level. You should not even consider purchasing this scooter.
The Hero Electric Optima HX is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable electric scooter. With a range of up to 150km, it offers great value for money. The powerful motor and comfortable ride make it a great choice for city commutes and long-distance journeys. The Optima HX is a great buy for those looking for a reliable and efficient electric scooter.
