while comparing to Verna & Rapid.. Honda City diesel car is more cost and engine is capacity is very low.less than 100BHP and 1400CC. which is not worth..:-)

the price of the new honda city diesel (base model) 2013 should start from Rs7 lakh or below with a milage of 20kmpl plus particularly to keep alive on the road to compete the other existing chief sedan cars in India. If the company does that I will prefer to buy it.

Guys plz dont compare Honda and Hyundai.. Honda has excellent built quality both exterior wise as well as performance wise.... Hyundai tries to cut evrywhere... Just dont fall for the looks of hyundai. Hav a test drive of city and verna, see d diffrence then assist ppl..

If any one is planning to buy Honda City Diesel, then it is recomended to wait for Verna RB Diesel followed by Hyundai Elantra/Avante 2011 which will be priced approx. @ price of Honda City Diesel.

Will have to watch how city diesel version fares in the indian market as it the first time in the history of honda, that they are lauching an diesel sedan in india. As Honda has set up standards in every segment, they might end up producing a better engine than the existing one.

As the diesel enignes will be slightly of higher price than the existing petrol version, they will be competing with rivals such as Skoda( my persoanl choice and undisputed king of diesel engines), rest of the VW group and others.

The city diesel has ONYL a 1.4 engine which might not produce more than 100hp,when compared to fiat linea 1.6D(120hp) coming next year, vw vento1.6(115hp).

PEOPLE HONDA does not produce the best diesel engines, it is guys from the west who are expert in it AND how can u people call the city good loking, then what will you call fiat linea, vw vento, skoda laura,new vw jetta(coming next year)and the present jetta,,AS,,and many more from renaults,fords and chevyrolets,nissans,all are gonig to enter this markrt with their best car so wait and look around next year..

CITY IS NO LONGER THE KING OF THE CITYS ANY MORE....!!!!!!!!

City is a fantastic car to drive, all variants of honda city were hit, now finally it will arrive in diesel and will be a huge hit, i was planning to buy city petrol in november, but now i'll buy it as soon as it is launched. WITHOUT A TEST DRIVE. I TRUST HONDA.
