Suzuki GW250
General information and overview
The Suzuki GW250, or Inazuma 250, is a versatile motorcycle designed to balance comfort and performance. It features a water-cooled 248cc twin engine with a single overhead cam and fuel injection, providing a smooth and linear power delivery. The bike has a semi-double cradle frame, a monoshock at the rear, and telescopic forks at the front, which together offer excellent stability and comfort, especially on long rides. The seating position, while a bit forward, is generally comfortable for riders, though it may feel cramped for some. The bike also boasts a high-quality finish, with a glossy paint job and upscale design elements like sculpted front turn signals and a well-integrated radiator. The 6-speed transmission is smooth, and the IRC Road Winner tires provide sufficient grip. Overall, its a well-rounded bike suitable for both city commuting and occasional long-distance rides.
Expert opinion and recommendation
The Suzuki GW250, also known as the Inazuma 250, is a solid choice for those looking for a reliable and comfortable commuter bike with some sporty nuances. While it may not be the most powerful bike in its class, it excels in its smooth and linear power delivery, making it perfect for everyday riding. The bikes handling is light and maneuverable, although the weight of 183 kg can make it feel heavy, especially uphill. The suspension is on the firmer side, which is great for smooth roads but can be less comfortable on bumpy terrain. The build quality is impressive, with a glossy finish and upscale looks that belie its 250cc engine. However, the seating position can be a bit off, with the rider pushed forward and potentially feeling cramped. Overall, its a great option for those who prioritize comfort, reliability, and a smooth riding experience over raw power.
