Yamaha India Imported 'Yamaha R3' for R&D Purposes

The India based subsidiary of Japanese two- wheeler giant, Yamaha has imported two units of sportsbike 'Yamaha R3' in the country for the research and development purposes. The Indian import & export tracking website, Zauba.com revealed this. So, if things go well, Indian bike lovers can expect this bike in their home land soon. This bike was showcased in October, 2014 at the EICMA held in Italy.

Mechanically, it is powered by a 321cc, 2- cylinder, 4- stroke, 4- valves liquid- cooled engine which produces a maximum power of 41.4Bhp at 10750 rpm and maximum torque of 29.6Nm at 9000 rpm. It is mated to a constant mesh, 6- speed transmission. The other measurements of the bike includes 2090mm length, 720mm width, 1135mm height and 169kg kerb weight.  The wheelbase and ground clearance of the bike is 1380mm and 160mm respectively. It packs a fuel tank capacity of 14- litres. Overall, it is designed to deliver best performance than other bikes of this class.

It is the complete package for the riders who want outstanding style, efficient mileage, top-range performance and comfortable ride. It rides on tubeless 110/70 front tyre and 140/70  rear tyre with the stopping power provided by a 300mm disc brakes and 230mm brakes at rear end. At the front of bike, there is a stylish instrument console with digital speedometer, analog tachometer, digital odometer, trip meter, fuel gauge and clock.

Yamaha R3t is expected to lock its horns with the considerably successful bikes like Kawasaki Ninja 300, KTM RC 390, upcoming bike of Hyosung GD 250 R and Honda CBR 250R.  But the price of this new offering of Yamaha is expected to be slightly high than R25 which is also in the queue of Yamaha's new launch list.
