Kawasaki Planning to Launch 3 New Motorcycles in India this Year

In addition to its new launch, 'Kawasaki Ninja H2', the Japanese two-wheeler company has announced three new motocycles Kawasaki Z250 SL, Vulcan S and Ninja ZX-63 636 for India. The official announcement regarding these bikes was made by the company at launch event of its flagship motorcycle, Ninja H2. These bikes will make its way to Indian market within this year, though company hasn't stated any specific month or date. With the arrival of these bikes this year, operations at the new dealerships of Kawasaki is also expected to start.

Talking about the Kawasaki Z250SL, its a 250cc naked motorcycle with aggressive looks. It will be powered by a 249cc 4-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid colled engine which promises a 27.6Bhp of power at 9700 rpm and 22.5 Nm at 8200 rpm. It houses a fully digital instrument console, tube diamond frame, trendy exhausts, black rear view mirrors, nicely fitted footrests and handlebar etc. It can reach to a top speed of 153Kmph and packs a fuel tank capacity of 11 litres. It is expected to be launch in the mid of this year at INR 2lakh.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R 636 comes with quite similar look to the ZX-10R motorcycle. It packs a liquid cooled 636cc 4-stroke, in-line four cylinder fuel-injected engine which produces 129.2Bhp of power at 13,500 rpm and 70.6 Nm of torque at 11,500 rpm. It will house digital instrument console with analogue format of tachometer, a stepped saddle and fairing mounted mirrors with some saftey features like traction control, ABS braking, two power modes, slipper clutch and economy indicator. It is expected to be launch by the end of this year at a price between 12-13 lakh.

The Kawasaki Vulcan S will be launch in India by the mid of 2015 which means we can expect this motorcycle before its other sibling. Its a cruiser bike which comes with low-seat, digital/analogue instrument cluster and adjustable foot pegs. It is equipped with liquid-cooled 649cc, 4-stroke, parallel twin, fuel-injected engine which produces 60.2Bhp of power at 7500 rpm and 62.7Nm of torque at 6600 rpm. It is the same unit of engine that also does duty in Ninja 650. The Vulcan S is likely to be priced at INR 6 lakh.
