Kawasaki all-set to Launch the Z250SL in India by the End of this Year

One of the popular names in two-wheeler market, Kawasaki is all set to launch its first single-cylinder motorcycle, 'Z250SL' in the Indian market by the end of this year. It is most likely to be launched in festive season. It will be seen as the most affordable motorcycle from the Kawasaki house. It will be equipped with similar 249cc engine like its sibling Z250 but with different engine specifications. This new machine is expected to deliver 27.62 Bhp of maximum power at 9700 rpm and it develops maximum torque of 22.6 NM at 8200 rpm.  

If sources are to be believed, the engine and other spare parts of Kawasaki Z250 SL are imported from Thailand. While, many of other components of this bike like wheels, tyres, switch housings, clutch plates, handlebars, head lamps and tail lamps are locally derived. It is designed by using high-tensile steel on trellis frame which make it lighter and easy to handle. Measurement wise, it is expected to have a height of 1015mm, length of 1935mm, width of 700mm and a 180mm ground clearance. There might be two models on offer in Z250 SL - ABS and non-ABS. The kerb weight of ABS model will be 150 kg and non-ABS variant will weighs at 148 kg.  

As of now, company hasn't word on the price of this motorcycle. It is expected to be price around INR 1.75-2.00 Lakh and its main rival present in the market are Honda CBR250R and KTM Duke 200. Apart from this, company has also cleared that twin-cylinder 'Kawasaki Z250' will continue in India; there are no plans of company to discontinue this model. The Z250 SL will come in total three options including Black, Orange and Green.
