Hero to Launch 250cc Bike in 2014

This news should set you excited, if you have always been waiting for the 225cc+ bike from Hero Motocorp. The world’s largest two wheeler manufacturer by Indian partner of Honda until  few years back will be seen coming up with the new 250cc bike with Erik Buell Racing, The Hero 250cc bike will be unveiled at the 2014, Indian Auto Expo and go on sale in mid 2014. The Hero 250cc motorcycle will be a single cylinder to keep the sticker price low. The upcoming 4 litre bike from Hero MotoCorp will also go on sale in some international markets.

As per reports, it would be launched by the name of Hero HX250R. It is a sports bike which is powered by 249 cc 4-Stroke, single cylinder, DOHC, liquid cooling engine that generates the maximum power of 31 BHP @ 9000 rpm along with the torque production of 26 NM. It is mated to 6-speed constant mesh gearbox. It comes loaded with bore and stroke of 81mm and 48.5mm respectively along with a wet multi-plate clutch. The top speed of the beauty is 150kmph and can cover the distance of 0-60kmph in just 2.7 seconds which is praiseworthy.

The bike has a length of 2085mm, a width of 735mm and a height of 1145mm as its dimensions and weighs around 139kgs. It's wheelbase of 1370mm and ground clearance of 145mm offers a smooth and bump free ride. HX250R comes packed with a beautiful instrument panel with a digital fuel gauge and speedometer, two digital trip meters, an analogue tachometer, a stand alarm and a low fuel and battery indicator.

The bike would be arrived in two variants and the price range varies from Rs. 1,30,000 - Rs. 1,50,000. The color options available for the sport bike is Red and Black.
