Hero to Discontinue Three Two-wheelers

MD of Hero MotoCorp, Pawan Munjal said at a recent event that company is going to set up a new independent R&D centre near Jaipur with an investment of Rs 400 crore. The centre will be setup with a third partner since the split off with Honda. The European partner will be providing technology and innovation to the Hero and the aim is to manufacture products with its new partners so as to replace the ones produced with Honda. Hero MotoCorp is going to phase out Impulse and Ignitor motorcycles and Maestro scooter after some time as they were developed with Honda Motors. Thought rumor has it that instead of phasing out the vehicles, Hero might upgrade them with new technological advancements. With the highly increasing competing Hero is definitely in need to boost its technology and innovation so as to keep pace with market.
