Tata Punch Adds 3 New Variants, Removes 10 – Feb 2024 Price Update

Launched in 2021, Tata Punch has been a remarkable success story. By January 2024, Punch had surpassed Nexon to become Tata’s top-selling car, hitting the impressive production milestone of 3 lakh units in the same month. To maintain its strong performance, Tata has revamped the Punch variant lineup.

Discontinuation of 10 Variants

It's common for car manufacturers to phase out variants that don't meet market expectations. Tata Punch has discontinued ten variants, including eight Camo variants. Models such as the Camo Adventure MT, Camo Adventure Rhythm MT, Camo Adventure AMT, Camo Accomplished MT, Camo Adventure Rhythm AMT, Camo Accomplished Dazzle MT, Camo Accomplished AMT, and Camo Accomplished Dazzle AMT are among the retired Camo varieties. Additionally, Punch Creative dual-tone and Creative Flagship MT dual-tone variants have also been axed.

Reasons for Discontinuation

While the Camo foliage green color suits larger SUVs like Harrier and Safari, it may not have the same appeal on the smaller-sized Punch model. The unique and intense Camo color may not resonate with everyone potentially contributing to lower-than-expected sales of Punch Camo variants. Consequently, Tata may have decided to discontinue these eight Camo variants. These Camo variants feature a foliage green exterior with a contrasting roof, along with distinctive elements like the CAMO mascot on the fender, R16 charcoal alloy wheels, and premium fabric seats with CAMO inserts.
