Yamaha has officially unveiled the NVX155 Doxou, the sports fashion edition scooter at Yamaha Gen Blu Carnival at MAEPS, Serdang, Malaysia. The limited-edition 2-wheeler has been launched by the brand in its premium sporty segment portfolio. The price tag for the NVX155 Doxou edition has not been disclosed as of yet.
The standard variant of the Yamaha NVX155 can be availed in Malaysia at a price tag of RM9,988 (INR 1.68 lakh, approximately). The customers can avail the Doxou edition with a premium limited edition gift set that includes the engine and chassis details in addition to specially designed Doxou headphones, keychains, and an ownership certificate.
The Yamaha NVX155 Doxou features dark matte blue paintwork at the front while the mudguard, as well as the side panels, have been offered a distinguished reddish-bronze colour scheme. The NVX155 Doxou edition gets a light blue wheel at the rear while features a black wheel at the front with a blue stripe running through it. The exclusive wheel design gives the premium scooter a unique look. The bold Doxou graphics further adds to the exclusivity of the 2-wheeler.
The Yamaha NVX155 Doxou limited edition remains mechanically unchanged. Powering the scooter is the same 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine capable of churning out a maximum power of 14.8 hp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 13.8 Nm at 6,250 rpm. The engine is mated to a CVT gearbox.
The NVX155 Doxou gets a fuel capacity of 4.6 litres. The braking duties on the limited edition variant are handled by the same single disc brake at the front while it gets a drum brake at the rear. The kerb weight of the scooter scales at 118kgs. Yamaha is offering the NVX155 Doxou edition with a warranty of 2 years or 20,000 km. As of now, Yamaha has no plans to launch the NVX155 in the Indian market.
