Quick Comparison: New Honda CB150R vs Yamaha MT-15

At present, the updated BS6-compliant Yamaha MT-15 is available in India for INR 1.47 lakhs, leaving everyone stunned with such a high price tag for a motorcycle that is not equipped with premium features like 2-channel ABS, USD front forks, and aluminium swingarm in comparison to the international-spec model.

Back in 2019, Honda unveiled the fully-loaded CB150R Streetster in Thailand. However, the model seen here can also skip most of the fancy components in favour of a lower ex-showroom price tag in India. The CB150R Streetster comes with a lightweight chassis, wide tyres and a long list of performance-enhancing features.

As of now, Honda has no official plans to launch the new CB150R in India though, we can expect the brand to launch the same in the Indian market in the coming months. Here is a quick comparison between the BS6-Compliant Yamaha MT-15 and the new Honda CB150R Streetster.

2012 Honda CBR150R vs. 2016 Honda CBR150R (Indonesia), which one is better and long-lasting?
2023-09-14 09:40:30 AM

Honda CBR150R 2016 is a better-looking bike than its 2012 model. The manufacturing quality has been kept standard by Honda and long-lasting parameter stays the same for both of them. The CBR150R comes with a much refined 149.16 cc engine producing 16.9 BHP and 13.7 Nm of torque. It uses LED front headlights and looks more like the bigger 500 cc CBR. The motorcycle comes with a lightweight 135 kg body and claims 39.72 kmpl of fuel efficiency. It looks, feels, and drives much better than the 2012 CBR150R.

Can we attach ABS (anti-lock braking system) to HONDA CBR150R?
2023-09-14 09:41:43 AM

At present, the company provides no such option as ABS and it comes as a factory-fitted product on the Honda CBR250R only. TVS may revolutionize the ABS technology as it will soon offer it as a dealer level fitment on its new Apache RTR 200 4V. That may force all the others to get a dealer-level option of fitting ABS and you may soon get an option of ABS in your CBR150R. The technology can cost anything between INR 10,000-15,000 depending upon the grade and number of channels used for the bike.
