Hyundai Alcazar Facelift to be Released by Mid-2024

Hyundai is gearing up to introduce the Alcazar facelift shortly after refreshing the Creta. This refreshed version of the Alcazar is slated to hit the market around May or June, marking the third Hyundai SUV launch this year, following the imminent release of the Creta N Line next month.

Design Changes

The Alcazar facelift may adopt the new dashboard design introduced with the updated Creta. However, no significant mechanical changes are anticipated. Although the Alcazar and the three-row Creta have certain similarities, the Alcazar has a more upscale look and a distinct personality of its own. The facelift is anticipated to have style modifications akin to those seen on the updated Creta, including standout features like the alloy wheels, rear tail-light design, headlamp, grille, and characteristic Daytime Running Lamp.

Interior Updates

Inside the cabin, we can expect the adoption of the new dashboard design from the Creta facelift. The facelifted Alcazar is likely to feature a range of advanced technology, including twin 10.25-inch screens, an ADAS suite, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, and ventilated seats carried over from the Creta. While the cabin space and seating arrangements are expected to remain unchanged, there may be alterations to the upholstery and interior shades to provide a refreshed look.

Powertrain Specifications

The powertrain lineup is anticipated to remain unchanged, with no revisions expected. The Alcazar will likely retain the 160hp, 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine, and a 115hp, 1.5-liter diesel engine from the Creta, both updated to meet BS6 Stage II emissions standards. Similarly, the respective manual and automatic transmissions are expected to be retained.

Price and Competition

With the updates and enhancements expected in the Alcazar facelift, a minor price increase is anticipated for some variants. The Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Mahindra XUV700 are just a few of the competitors the Alcazar will face off against in its class. Due to these SUVs' substantial market share in the industry, consumers find the competition to be both harsh and exciting.
