Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition Teased With Revised Front Design

Mahindra has released a new teaser for the BE 6 Formula E Edition, revealing a noticeably revised front design. The latest car moves away from the round-lamp treatment shown on the earlier special edition and adopts a face closer to the standard BE 6.

The teaser shows C-shaped daytime running lights, slimmer lighting elements and the familiar angular BE 6 surfacing. The vehicle is presented in Tango Red with Formula E-inspired detailing, reinforcing the motorsport link without abandoning the production model’s core identity.

What changed at the front

The earlier Formula E Edition used a more radical round-lamp face that immediately separated it from the regular BE 6. The new teaser suggests Mahindra has reconsidered that approach. Returning to C-shaped DRLs makes the special edition easier to identify as part of the BE 6 family.

This is a visual confirmation only. Mahindra has not yet announced the final equipment list, cabin treatment, price or delivery schedule for the revised version.

What remains from the earlier announcement

Mahindra previously presented a BE 6 Formula E Edition with a limited run of 999 units. The latest teaser does not clarify whether that volume remains unchanged or whether the revised design is connected to a broader production plan.

Powertrain information also remains open. It would be reasonable to expect a relationship with the existing BE 6 hardware, but battery, motor and performance figures should not be treated as confirmed until Mahindra publishes the final specification.

Why the redesign matters

Special editions need to stand out without looking disconnected from the base vehicle. The revised face appears to strike a more conventional balance: recognisable BE 6 lighting, Formula E colour and graphic details, and a clearer visual link to Mahindra’s electric-SUV range.

The official teaser confirms the design direction; it does not complete the product story. Pricing, final production volume, interior changes and technical specifications are the next details to watch.
