Early this month, Harley-Davidson introduced the X440 cruiser, which starts at Rs. 2.29 lakhs (ex-showroom). At the moment, it appears that the American motorcycle manufacturer is getting ready to introduce the Harley-Davidson Nightster 440 in India. Recently, Hero MotoCorp registered the new Nightster 440 trademark. It takes its name from Harley's 975cc Nightster motorbike, which is sold worldwide.
We think the international model will serve as design inspiration for the Nightster 440. New aesthetic accents will be added to the sporty bobber-styled bike to set it out from the X440 cruiser. A low posture, a short tail, rounded bar-end mirrors, exposed rear shock absorbers, etc. should be included.
The Harley-Davidson Nightster 440 will be more energetic and provide a somewhat sportier riding experience than the X440. It will make use of the same mechanicals and platform as the X440. powered by a 440cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine that produces 38 Nm of torque at 4000 RPM and 27 HP at 6000 RPM. A 6-speed gearbox is included with this powerplant.
The Nightster 440 is anticipated to be placed beneath the X440 by Harley-Davidson. It will probably have the same or a lower price range. Additionally, Royal Enfield is creating a new 350cc Bobber. With the new selection of motorcycles, brands like Royal Enfield and Triumph can present some fierce competition.
