Yamaha Europe has officially unveiled the R125 Monster Energy edition with MotoGP livery. The entry-level supersport motorcycle reflects the racing legacy and draws inspiration from the 2019 Yamaha YZR-M1 which was unleashed earlier this year. The YZR-M1 is the race machine for Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales for the recent MotoGP championship. The brand has not yet revealed the exact price of the R125 Monster Energy edition while the standard version of the bike is available in the United Kingdom for £4,499 (INR 4.10 lakh, direct conversion). It also features gold finished front forks as standard, justifying its sportier look. With every essence of Yamaha Racing DNA, the entry-level 125cc sports bike gets its design inspired by the YZF-R15 V3 that is currently being sold in India. Unlike the R15 V3 we have in India, the 2019 R125 Monster Energy edition is equipped with 41mm upside down (USD) front forks. The suspension duties at the rear of the bike are handled by an adjustable monoshock absorber. The engine has been mated to a 6-speed gearbox and adopts a variable valve actuation system that optimises the valve position for higher levels of low rpm torque and stronger high rpm power. The standard version of Yamaha R15 V3 is currently available in India at INR 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
