Bajaj Platina 110 ABS Spotted Ahead of Launch in India: Bajaj Auto is all set to launch a new variant of Platina commuter motorcycle in the coming days. Known as Platina 110 ABS, it is based on the H-Gear variant featuring some minor changes in terms of design. The major update comes in the form of a single-channel ABS unit, making Platina 110 the first motorcycle in its segment to features an anti-lock braking system. Some of the key design highlights of the upcoming bike include a ribbed seat, knuckle guards, golden rear suspension, an all-analogue instrument console, LED DRLs, new graphics, and Pulsar NS/RS-inspired odd-looking white alloy wheels. It generates the same 8.6 HP of maximum power at 7000 rpm and 9.81 Nm of peak torque at 5000 rpm. The engine remained mated to a 5-speed gearbox. In terms of braking, the commuter motorcycle features a front disc brake with a single-channel ABS unit while the rear end features a drum brake. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and dual nitrox shock absorbers at the rear end. It is being reported that with the launch of Platina 110 ABS, Bajaj Auto will discontinue the H-Gear model, which is currently available with an ex-showroom price tag of around INR 64,300.
