By the end of January 2024, the scooter was seen again, this time with luggage and a pillion, showcasing its spacious seat and floorboard area.

Teasers and Launch Date Confirmation

The first teaser highlighted the Rizta's large and wide seat, indicating its family-friendly design. A subsequent teaser provided a clearer view of the fully-digital instrument console, turn indicators, and expansive floorboard area. A social media post later announced that the Ather Community Day would be held on April 6, coinciding with the Rizta's launch. Further details were revealed by Tarun Mehta and co-founder Swapnil Jain, including a large underseat storage space, a USB charging port, and a smart accessory.

Durability Teasers and Pre-Bookings

To demonstrate the scooter's durability, Ather Energy shared a teaser of its battery being drop-tested from a height of approximately 40 feet and the scooter navigating through 400mm of water. The company also announced the upcoming Atherstack 6 OTA update and the launch of the new Halo smart helmet on April 6. Pre-bookings for the electric scooter began shortly after for a nominal amount of Rs 999. The latest teaser provided the clearest view yet of the underseat storage space and revealed additional details.

Specifications and Rivals

The Ather Rizta is expected to feature the same 2.9kWh battery pack, 115km claimed range, and 5.4kW peak power output motor as the Ather 450S. It is anticipated to be priced around Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom, including the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024) and will compete with the TVS iQube, Hero Vida V1 Pro, Ola S1 Air, and Bajaj Chetak.
