Ather Rizta Electric Scooter Comes in Seven Vibrant Colors

Ather Energy has recently introduced the Rizta family electric scooter at the Ather Community Day 2024. There are two variants of the scooter and seven possible color combinations. The Ather Rizta comes in three variants, with prices ranging from Rs. 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs. 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom).

Color Options and Variants

The Ather Rizta S model is offered in three monotone colors, while the Rizta Z model is available in seven paint schemes, including three monotone and four dual-tone shades. The monotone options are Pangong Blue, Siachen White, and Deccan Grey. The dual-tone choices include Pangong Blue with White, Cardamom Green with White, Alphonso Yellow with White, and Deccan Grey with White.

Power and Performance

The Ather Rizta is powered by a PMSM electric motor that delivers a maximum output of 5.76bhp and a peak torque of 22Nm. All variants can reach a top speed of 80kmph and accelerate from 0-40kmph in 4.7 seconds. The battery range varies depending on the variant, with the Rizta S and Rizta Z with a 2.9kWh battery pack offering an IDC range of 123km while the Rizta Z with a 3.7kWh battery pack provides an IDC range of 160km.

Charging Time

The charging time differs between models. The 2.9kWh variants come with a 350W charger that can charge the battery from 0-80% in six hours and 40 minutes, with a full charge taking eight hours and 30 minutes. The 3.7kWh variant features a 700W Ather Duo charger that can achieve a 0-80% charge in four hours and 30 minutes, with a full charge taking six hours and 10 minutes.

Hardware and Design

In terms of hardware, the Rizta is built on an underbone chassis with a longer sub-frame, providing additional space for both the rider and pillion. The chassis is supported by telescopic forks at the front and a rear mono-shock. The 12-inch wheels on the scooter are shaped with MRF tires.

Competition

The Ather Rizta will compete with the TVS iQube and the Ola S1 range in the electric scooter market, offering a blend of performance, style, and eco-friendly commuting.
