What will be the role of the Avinya X in Tata’s relationship with JLR?
22 January 2025 11:20
My bet is that the Avinya X is secretly using a lot of JLR tech. Tata only could have developed such an advanced EV so quickly.
What will be the role of the Avinya X in Tata’s relationship with JLR?
22 January 2025 11:20
This might create some tension with JLR. After all, if the Avinya X is too good, it could cannibalize sales from future electric Jaguars or Land Rovers.
What will be the role of the Avinya X in Tata’s relationship with JLR?
22 January 2025 11:20
I think it's a win-win. JLR gets to leverage Tata's expertise in the emerging and price sensitive Indian market, while Tata gets to leverage JLR's premium expertise and a testbed for new EV tech.
What will be the role of the Avinya X in Tata’s relationship with JLR?
22 January 2025 11:20
Tata's Avinya X is likely to be its way of telling JLR that it too can make premium vehicles. Maybe it will encourage more collaboration in the future.
What will be the role of the Avinya X in Tata’s relationship with JLR?
22 January 2025 11:20
I'm worried this might dilute JLR's brand value. If Tata can build something that premium as the Avinya X, why buy a Jaguar in the first place?
What will be the role of the Avinya X in Tata’s relationship with JLR?
22 January 2025 11:20
It could be the beginning of a new chapter in which Tata and JLR collaborate more. Maybe we'll see co-branded models in the future.
What will be the role of the Avinya X in Tata’s relationship with JLR?
22 January 2025 11:20
The real question is whether the Avinya X, at least initially, will be sold globally with the Tata moniker. That would really shake up the Tata-JLR dynamic.
Will the design of the Tata Avinya X transfer from concept to production?
22 January 2025 11:20
No chance. Tata always waters down their designs. Remember the Sierra concept? It will probably be a little fancier Nexon in the production version.
Will the design of the Tata Avinya X transfer from concept to production?
22 January 2025 11:20
I think Tata have learnt their lesson. Check out how close the Curvv production model was to the concept. I’m optimistic about the Avinya X.
Will the design of the Tata Avinya X transfer from concept to production?
22 January 2025 11:20
Definitely some elements will change but I bet they will keep the silhouette and those cool lighting features. It's enough to set it apart.
Will the design of the Tata Avinya X transfer from concept to production?
22 January 2025 11:20
I worry about the interior, but the exterior might stay close to the concept. That massive screen and those fancy seats aren’t making it to production.
Will the design of the Tata Avinya X transfer from concept to production?
22 January 2025 11:20
The concept doesn't have to be 100% like 100%. They may keep 70-80% of the design but it’ll still be the coolest looking Tata ever made.
Will the design of the Tata Avinya X transfer from concept to production?
22 January 2025 11:20
I hope they don't change it too greatly. Indian carmakers always play it safe with design. We need something bold and different.
Will the design of the Tata Avinya X transfer from concept to production?
22 January 2025 11:20
The real question is whether they can keep the design, and still price it competitively. If that means more people can afford it, I’d prefer the slightly toned down design.
Can Avinya X really deliver on the promised 500+ km range in real world?
22 January 2025 11:20
There's no way they are going to hit 500km in real world conditions. We'll be lucky if it's 350-400km. All EV range claims are optimistic.
Can Avinya X really deliver on the promised 500+ km range in real world?
22 January 2025 11:20
I really think they are going to do it. Tata has been pouring money into battery tech, and if they didn't have the goods to back that claim up, they wouldn't be making it.
Can Avinya X really deliver on the promised 500+ km range in real world?
22 January 2025 11:20
But, even if it doesn’t hit 500km, anything beyond 400km for an Indian EV is impressive. It’s not about perfection, it’s about progress.
Can Avinya X really deliver on the promised 500+ km range in real world?
22 January 2025 11:20
The real question is how much that 500km range will cost. I'd rather have an EV with 300km range that's a little cheaper than an EV with 500km.
Can Avinya X really deliver on the promised 500+ km range in real world?
22 January 2025 11:20
Range anxiety is overrated. As long as it can do 300-350km reliably and fast charging then that’s plenty for most people.
Can Avinya X really deliver on the promised 500+ km range in real world?
22 January 2025 11:20
What I'm more interested in is how the range holds up over time. After some years of use, will it still do 500km? That's the real test.
