Volkswagen Polo Highline

About
The Volkswagen Polo Highline Plus is a well-rounded package that excels in several key areas. Under the hood, it features a 1.0L TSI turbocharged engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, offering a balance of performance and economy. The cabin is notable for its all-black theme with gunmetal grey accents, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and gear knob, which elevate the sense of quality. The build quality is exceptional, with solid plastics and impressive insulation that surpasses many cars in higher segments. The ride comfort has been enhanced, making it more compliant on Indian roads, and the handling remains sharp and responsive. With a generous boot space of 351 liters and standard features like LED headlights, a digital instrument cluster, and smartphone integration, the Polo Highline Plus offers a premium and practical driving experience that is hard to match in its class.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Volkswagen Polo Highline Plus is a compelling choice for those seeking a blend of quality, performance, and comfort in the compact hatchback segment. While it may not be the most spacious option, its robust build quality, refined cabin, and impressive insulation make it stand out. The new 1.0L TSI engine, although less refined than its 1.2L predecessor, delivers surprising performance, especially once the turbo kicks in, making it a joy to drive. The ride comfort has been significantly improved, making it more compliant on Indian roads. However, the interior design, though premium, remains largely unchanged and may feel a bit dated. Overall, the Polo Highline Plus is a solid choice for enthusiasts and those valuing a mature driving experience.
Price
The Volkswagen Polo Highline Plus is priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price for the manual transmission variant starts at around Rs 8.02 lakh. When you factor in the on-road costs, including registration, insurance, and other charges, the price can go up to around Rs 9.5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing positions the Polo Highline Plus as a premium offering in its segment, justifying the cost with its superior build quality, refined engine, and enhanced comfort features. For those willing to invest in a car that offers long-term reliability and a premium driving experience, the Polo Highline Plus is a worthwhile consideration.
Latest Updates
Thursday, 02 November 2023 02:31 AM The 2024 Volkswagen Polo, including the Highline variant, has seen significant enhancements in safety features. The Polo now comes standard with front, front-side, centre, and curtain airbags, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-keep assist, and a reversing camera. The Highline model also includes blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. I think these additions make the Polo a much safer choice for buyers.
Thursday, 02 November 2023 08:28 AM For 2024, the Volkswagen Polo range, including the Highline variant, has experienced a price increase. The Polo Life starts at $29,490, while the Style and GTI models see higher price points. The Highline, similar to the Style, features a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 85kW of power and 200Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. I believe this engine provides a good balance between performance and fuel efficiency.
Sunday, 15 October 2023 09:25 AM The 2024 Volkswagen Polo Highline maintains its compact dimensions, measuring 4074mm in length, 1751mm in width, and 1439mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2564mm. The interior space remains generous, with a boot capacity of 351 litres. The design includes features like 16-inch alloy wheels and a range of color options, with most colors costing an extra Rs. 45,000. I think the Polos design is sleek and modern, making it a stylish choice.
Wednesday, 20 September 2023 04:26 AM The 2024 Volkswagen Polo Highline, powered by the 1.0-litre TSI engine, boasts a claimed fuel consumption of 5.4 litres per 100km on the combined cycle. This makes it an economical choice for daily driving. The fuel tank capacity is 40 litres, and it requires 95 RON premium unleaded fuel. I believe this fuel efficiency is a significant selling point for budget-conscious buyers.
Friday, 25 August 2023 12:46 AM The Volkswagen Polo Highline comes equipped with advanced technology features such as a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro, Discover Media 8.0-inch infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and voice control. Additionally, it includes adaptive cruise control, Travel Assist, and a Vision and Technology Package. I think these features make the Polo a competitive option in its segment.
Monday, 10 July 2023 01:57 AM The 2024 Volkswagen Polo Highline is covered by a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty. Logbook servicing is required every 12 months or 15,000km, whichever comes first. The first five services for the 1.0L TSI engine are capped at specific prices, providing cost predictability for owners. I believe this warranty and servicing plan offer peace of mind for potential buyers.
Thursday, 15 June 2023 05:10 PM There is speculation that the Volkswagen Polo Highline might see increased demand in the Indian market due to its enhanced safety features and updated technology. With the removal of the base manual model, the Polo Life and Highline variants are expected to attract more buyers looking for a premium hatchback experience. I think this could be a smart move by Volkswagen to target the mid-range market.
Saturday, 20 May 2023 10:07 AM The Volkswagen Polo Highline has a towing capacity of 1000kg, which is suitable for small trailers or caravans. This capacity is consistent across the Life and Style models, while the GTI has a slightly higher capacity. I believe this towing capacity is adequate for most urban and suburban users.
Tuesday, 25 April 2023 04:04 PM The 2024 Volkswagen Polo Highline features an upgraded interior with leather-lined steering wheel, leather shifter, and manual handbrake. The seats have nice fabric trim with excellent adjustment options, including lumbar support. The cabin also includes ambient lighting and dual-zone climate control. I think the interior is well-appointed and comfortable.
Wednesday, 15 March 2023 07:36 PM The Volkswagen Polo Highline is available in several color options, including Pure White, Reef Blue Metallic, Reflect Silver Metallic, Smokey Grey Metallic, Vibrant Violet Metallic, and Deep Black Pearl. Most colors, except Pure White, cost an extra Rs. 45,000. I believe the color palette offers a good range of choices for buyers.

Problem in VW Polo engine fan motor noise more even changed new. Paint quality is poor when white tape is sticked two days paint also comes together. Radiator cooling capacity is very less. Lower arm suspension are very weak need to adjust every 35,000 kms. Coolant liquid ducks more. Engine heating is more. Ecm problem makes all electric faults some times. Fuse kits are annual inspection required. Ground clearance need to improve height and under body quality need to increase. Mileage is around 14-16 maximum.

Best Features: Performance and Smoothness. Everything Ok

Pros: Body built quality good. Design and features performance efficiency pickup stylish high grade luxurious car. Loved it more

Cons: Seating groom space is less. Top sunroofs need to provide arm rest and rear Ac vents need to provide. It's sensor based. So all sensor parts must be covered with box. It keep safer sensors.
