Tata Motors has announced that the Tiago NRG CNG will be available across all authorized dealerships, starting with two trim options. The XT variant is priced at Rs 7,39,900, and the XZ variant at Rs 7,79,900 (ex-showroom Delhi). This launch is part of Tatas New Forever brand philosophy, focusing on continuous portfolio refreshes. I think this move will further strengthen Tatas position in the CNG segment.

The Tata Tiago NRG CNG XT is expected to demand a premium of Rs 80,000 to Rs 90,000 over the comparable petrol variants. This CNG model uses the existing 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, producing 72bhp and 95Nm of peak torque. The CNG variants are likely to be launched in both XT and XZ trims. I believe this pricing strategy will make the CNG option more competitive in the market.

Tiago xza model petrol version was purchased in November 2018. Mileage static @ 15 km/l. Jerks observed while in movement motion. Engine giving sounds on running acceleration while travelling. Rubbing (kir-kir) sounds under the driver's seat.
Best Features: Body structural appearance
Pros: Engine vibration sounds

I purchased from Jaika Motors, Nagpur on 21st Dec 2016. On 25th of Jan 2017 I started for Parali Vaijyanath Darshan of Jyotirling. The journey was comfortable with Tiago. The total travel was about 1000 kms for which I had to use about 80 litres of petrol and was very shocking. Hope TATA will take it seriously to look into my piece of TIAGO XZ petrol.
