USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Tata Bulletproof Safari is a formidable vehicle that combines robust security with the comfort and features one would expect from a premium SUV. My experience with this vehicle has been nothing short of impressive, especially considering its armored capabilities. The Safaris ability to withstand significant threats, such as an assault by an AK-47, makes it an ideal choice for VVIPs or those who require high-level security. Despite its heavy armor, the vehicle maintains a surprisingly smooth and quiet ride, thanks to its well-insulated interior and robust engine. However, the added weight does impact its agility and fuel efficiency. Overall, the Tata Bulletproof Safari is a solid choice for those prioritizing security without compromising on comfort and features.
Price
The Tata Bulletproof Safari comes with a hefty price tag, reflecting its advanced security features and robust build. In India, the ex-showroom price for this variant can range around Rs 60 lakhs, depending on the specific armor package and additional features. When you factor in on-road costs, including taxes and registration, the price can easily exceed Rs 70 lakhs. This significant investment is justified by the unparalleled security it offers, making it a worthwhile expenditure for those who need such protection. However, for the average buyer, this price point may be prohibitive, making it a niche product in the Indian market.
Latest Updates
Thursday, 10 October 2024 09:17 AM Ratan Tata expressed no disappointment when the Special Protection Group (SPG) chose BMW bulletproof cars over custom bulletproof vehicles designed by Tata Motors. Instead, he emphasized the importance of continuous improvement and incorporating the best features into their vehicles. This shows Tatas commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. I believe this attitude is what sets Tata Motors apart in the industry.
Wednesday, 04 September 2024 02:03 AM Tata Motors has been awarded the Global NCAP Safer Choice Award for the Tata Safari, recognizing its commitment to safety. The Safari, along with the Harrier, received 5-star ratings for both adult and child occupant protection and met additional safety test criteria. This award underscores Tata Motors focus on safety in their vehicles. I think this is a significant achievement, highlighting the companys dedication to safety standards.
Wednesday, 04 September 2024 12:47 AM Tata Motors is offering significant discounts on the Tata Safari this September, with savings of up to Rs 1.65 lakh. The discounts vary across different variants, making the Safari an attractive option for potential buyers ahead of the festive season. This move is likely to boost sales and make the vehicle more accessible. I believe these discounts could make the Safari a compelling choice for those looking for a luxurious and safe SUV.
Thursday, 01 August 2024 02:32 AM The 2024 Tata Safari has been reviewed, highlighting its bold and rugged exterior design, luxurious interior, and advanced safety features. The SUV features a 2.0-liter Kryotec diesel engine and offers both six and seven-seater configurations. Its off-road capabilities and tech-packed interior make it a top contender in the SUV market. I think the Safaris blend of ruggedness and luxury is a winning combination for both adventure seekers and families.
Mileage
Thursday, 21 November 2024 11:10 AM The mileage of the Tata Bulletproof Safari is a critical consideration due to its heavy armor and powerful engine. Powered by a 2200cc diesel engine, this vehicle is technically sound and fuel-efficient for its class, but the added weight of the armor reduces its overall fuel efficiency. You can expect a mileage of around 8-10 kmpl in city driving conditions and slightly better on highways. While this may not be the most economical option, the trade-off for enhanced security is significant, and the fuel efficiency is still reasonable given the vehicles capabilities.

Tata Bulletproof Safari Review

Expert Review by Maxabout

Tata Motors India has launched an upgraded model of Safari which is bullet-proof and can withstand AK-47 rifle fire and hand grenade explosion. Even the glasses of armoured Safari can resist attack from small arms. Tata launched Safari in India in 1990s and till now it has managed to develop its own market with huge fan following. It is first choice among prospective buyers who wants to own a comfortable, feature rich and affordable sports utility vehicle. The bullet-proof version of Safari has been priced around 60 lakh rupees which seems to be quite reasonable considering the fact it is the only bullet-proof SUV available for this price. This variant of Safari is powered by the same 2200cc diesel engine which is technically very sound and is also fuel efficient.  Bullet-proof Safari is not on display at the dealers but you can place your order with them and it will be delivered in one month or so.

Its not a real game player, when it comes this sluggish low ass with absolutely the poorest built quality will let you down. The engine power is not enough to pull this elephant. The body is terribly noisy and the door handles breaks anytime. Also the wheels where the tyre is mounted cracks. Hence this failures at critical moments is enough to kill you rather than the bullet. Upgradation required.
