About
The Tata Nano LX is a compact hatchback that was designed to be an ultra-affordable city car. It comes with a 624 cc petrol engine producing 37 hp and 51 Nm of torque, paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The LX variant is the top-of-the-line model, offering features like air conditioning, which is a must-have for Indian summers. The car is known for its spacious cabin, easy maneuverability due to its tiny turning radius, and light controls. While it may not excel on highways or in hilly terrain, it is more than capable of handling city traffic with ease. The Nano LX also features convenient cubby holes and efficient air conditioning, making it a practical choice for daily urban commuting. However, it lacks in terms of safety features and engine performance at higher speeds. Despite its limitations, the Nano LX remains a charming and practical option for those on a tight budget.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Tata Nano LX, despite being a relic of the past, still holds a certain charm and practicality that makes it a viable option for those seeking a budget-friendly city car. My experience with the Nano LX has been mixed on one hand, it is incredibly spacious for its size, with better ingress and egress compared to other small cars. The air conditioning is super efficient, and the cubby holes are very convenient. However, the cars limitations become apparent on highways, where the 2-cylinder engine struggles to maintain high speeds, and the body roll is noticeable on sharp turns. The brakes are just adequate, and safety features are lacking. If youre looking for a fun, nostalgic drive within the city limits and are willing to overlook its shortcomings, the Nano LX can be a delightful choice.
Price
The Tata Nano LX, although discontinued, can still be found in the used car market. When it was new, the ex-showroom price for the LX variant was around Rs. 2.50 lakh to Rs. 2.97 lakh, depending on the fuel type and transmission. On-road prices varied, typically ranging from Rs. 2.8 lakh to Rs. 3.3 lakh, including taxes and other costs. In the current used car market, prices can vary widely based on the cars condition, mileage, and location. You might find a well-maintained Nano LX for anywhere between Rs. 1.5 lakh to Rs. 2.5 lakh, depending on these factors. Its crucial to negotiate and inspect the vehicle thoroughly before making a purchase.

Tata Nano LX Discussion
VeryVery good car for the market place amazing milage inside the city occupy a very small space and to much comfortcomfort
Disadvantage of the car,Front Engine,
good car for cityride....can be park easily which is a big problem now a days for four wheeler holder....
The after sales service of the car is HORRIBLE. When the car RUSTS completly, BURN and developes COMPONENT FAILURE's "Tata Motots" does not care about its customer by giving a replacement of the car. Quality wise Maruti Alot 800 is FAR FAR FAR superior than Nano. Any problem occurs to Nano you are completly at the mercy of Tata Motors, since the local mechanic cannot service this car. Company is doing a major coverup as far as the quality of Nano is concerned. The car is o.k and not at all comparable to the old VV Beetle models. If you are LOOKING FOR A QUALITY PRODUCT THEN DONT BUY NANO. Nano car material is the cheapest in terms of quality.
TATA is a company suitable for making Trucks and does not understand the sensitivities of a passenger car. If there is one passenger car that has succeded for Tata Motors then it is Indica. But then who are the users of Indica now a days. Only Taxis.
Tata only wants to sell Nano and I have seen lots of car getting rusted in their workshop and a big coverup is taking place because of our Indian System. Tata Motors knows very well that as far as the Indian System is a customer will never go to a consumer court which will be a waste of time. And this they are exploiting to coverup the quality issues with Nano.
Mr. Ratan Tata are you reading this. It is also difficult to contact the higher ups of Tata Motors.
DONT BUY TATA NANO - CONSIDER BUYING ALTO 800 YOU WILL HAVE PEACE OF MIND.
After my Nano experience I can always tell to the nation that M800 "WAS IS & WILL" always be a 100% reliable Small Family Peoples Car.
Any how I will not discourage Mr. Ratan Tata in my review about TATA MOTORS. Readers if you wanna buy a TRUCK go to Mr. Ratan Tata, he will provide you with a nice Truck.
