Skoda has launched recently the special edition of Skoda Rapid Leisure which will be manufactured in limited numbers in petrol. Because of the failing automobile sales expectations, not only Skoda but even some other major companies also launched special edited versions of their famous cars. Skoda Rapid Leisure is a C+ segment sedan based on Ambition Plus trim. The diesel variant is available at INR 9.06 lakhs, while the petrol variant is priced at INR 7.79 lakhs and the automatic variant at INR 8.80 lakhs.

The exterior of Skoda Rapid Leisure gives both a stylish and muscular look with big extended aerodynamically designed headlamps with halogen lights, chromed central grille, power adjustable external rear view mirror, body colored front bumper with an air dam and rear bumper, square shaped front and rear fog lights, rear parking sensors, door sill covers, 15-inch alloy wheels, brake lights with LED bulbs, body colored door handles, antenna on the roof, tinted window frames, B-pillar with black décor, rear wiper and defogger and boot lid with angular press and two dents. The interior also is very beautiful with leather seat covers, adjustable steering column, fabric upholstery, glove compartment, digital clock and a tachometer.

For the utmost comfort of the passengers, it has powerful AC with Automatic Climate Control System, power steering, all four power windows, rear trunk and fuel lid opener, low fuel warning light, 12V accessory outlet, vanity mirror, rear reading lamp and adjustable headrests, front and rear cup holders, rear AC vents, seat lumbar support, new navigation system and rear parking sensors with a rear view camera. It also has a highly spacious dashboard with instrument cluster, AC and music system. The music system is a quality CD/MP3 player, FM Radio player, AUX-in and front and rear speakers and a SD/MMC Data Card Reader for a good entertainment in your journey.

It has a length of 4386mm, width of 1699mm and height of 1466mm as its dimension and large wheelbase of 2552mm for a stable ride. It also has a good ground clearance of 168mm and fuel tank capacity of 55 litres. It has a good boot space of 460 litres. Skoda Rapid Leisure has two engine options which includes 1598cc, four-cylinder, 1.6L, MPFI Petrol engine with a maximum power of 105 bhp at 5250 rpm and a maximum torque of 153 Nm at 3800 rpm and is mated with a five speed manual transmission gearbox and gives a top speed of 188 kmph with a mileage of 12 kmpl in the cities and 15 kmpl on the highways. The 1598cc, four cylinder, 1.6l, TDI Diesel engine has a maximum power of 105 bhp at 4400 rpm and a maximum torque of 250 Nm at 1500-2500 rpm and is mated with a five speed manual transmission and has a top speed of 186 kmph with a mileage of 17 kmpl in the cities and 20.5 kmpl on the highways. The petrol engine also comes with option of five-speed automatic transmission. It has a minimum turning radius of 5.3m for easy cornering.

Rapid Leisure also has a lot of advanced safety features which are ABS with BA, remote central locking, driver side Airbag, rear child safety lock, day and night rear view mirrors with passenger side rear view mirror, halogen headlamps, rear seat belts, side impact beams, door ajar warning, crash sensor, centrally mounted fuel tank and an engine immobilizer. It has disk brakes at front and drum brakes at rear. The suspension system is a McPherson type with lower triangular links and torsion stabilizer at front and compound link crank-axle at rear.

Skoda Rapid Leisure is available in three variants which are 1.6 MPI Manual Petrol, 1.6 MPI Automatic Petrol and 1.6 TDI Manual Diesel. It is available in five beautiful colors which are Candy White, Brilliant Silver, Cappuccino Beige, Flash Red and Deep Black Pearl.
