Latest Updates
Thursday, 01 August 2024 12:40 PM Renault India has introduced various offers and benefits for the 2024 Triber, including cash benefits up to Rs 15,000, exchange benefits up to Rs 15,000, and additional cash benefits for existing Renault customers. These offers are aimed at making the Triber more attractive to potential buyers.
Thursday, 01 August 2024 03:47 PM The 2024 Renault Triber RXZ variant, with its manual transmission, is priced at Rs 8.23 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes it an excellent value-for-money proposition for those looking for a seven-seater vehicle on a budget. I think the price point is very competitive in the Indian market.
Tuesday, 23 July 2024 03:55 PM The interior of the 2024 Renault Triber has seen some improvements, such as the addition of a six-way adjustable driver’s seat with an armrest, a new LED cabin lamp, and a rear seatbelt reminder now standard across all variants. However, the fit and finish of the interior could still be improved. I think the armrest is a particularly welcome addition for driver comfort.
Tuesday, 23 July 2024 04:12 PM The ride quality of the 2024 Renault Triber is commendable, especially considering it is a budget MPV. It handles bad roads well, though it can feel a bit bouncy when all seats are occupied. Overall, it provides a comfortable ride for most users.
Tuesday, 02 July 2024 10:34 AM Renault India has updated the 2024 Renault Triber with several new features, including a new Stealth Black paint scheme, a digital driver’s display, a driver’s armrest, and a wireless charging pad. However, there are no changes to the design, engine, or gearbox options. The Triber remains the most affordable seven-seater MPV in the market. I think these updates are a step in the right direction, but more significant changes would have made it more competitive.
Tuesday, 02 July 2024 02:43 PM The 2024 Renault Triber continues to be powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine producing 70 bhp and 96 Nm of peak torque, available with either a five-speed manual or an AMT transmission. Many are still waiting for the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine from the Kiger to be introduced in the Triber. I believe the turbo engine would significantly enhance the Tribers appeal.
Tuesday, 02 July 2024 09:25 PM Renault has added several safety features to the 2024 Triber, including four airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, TPMS, hill start assist, and a reverse parking camera with sensors. The Triber has a 4-star GNCAP rating for adults and 3-star for children. This emphasis on safety is a positive move for family-oriented buyers.
Friday, 14 June 2024 09:27 PM Despite the updates, the AMT transmission in the 2024 Renault Triber remains a weak point, being slow and unresponsive compared to competitors like Hyundai and Maruti. This is a significant drawback for those seeking a comfortable automatic driving experience.
Friday, 14 June 2024 08:42 PM Renault has emphasized the spacious and ultra-modular interiors of the 2024 Triber, with flexible seating modes and up to 625 litres of boot space. This makes it a practical choice for large families or those needing ample storage space. I believe the modular design is one of the Tribers strongest selling points.
Friday, 14 June 2024 11:09 PM The 2024 Renault Triber retains its exterior design, with no major changes apart from the new Stealth Black paint scheme. The dual-tone exteriors continue to give it a modern and attractive look. I think the design still holds up well despite being almost four years old.

Renault Triber Review

Expert Review by Maxabout

Introduction

The Renault Triber, which was launched in India in June 2019, is a three-row compact MPV developed by the French automotive manufacturer Renault. The MPV has stylish looks that make it appear like an SUV. The Triber performed well in the Indian car market thanks to its practicality, and the car is exported to global markets as well. Renault sells it proudly since this is India’s safest seven-seater MPV with a four-star safety rating in adult occupant protection and a three-star safety rating in child occupant protection. The global safety watchdog examined the MPV and found it to be one of the safest cars. To know its worth, let’s discuss in detail all its features and specifications.

Renault Triber Design and Style

2023 Renault Triber boasts a stylish and sophisticated design language that makes it look like an SUV. It has a 3-part ultra-modern Triple Edge Chrome finished front grille that offers an enticing appearance. The MPV is outfitted with dagger-shaped headlights and LED DRLs located in the bumper. The snout has been lifted to give it a more SUV-like appearance, and the chrome flourishes provide a luxury touch. A skid plate is located behind the lower front grille, which is generally for cosmetic purposes.

The side profile is fairly robust, and the roof rails give it a highly practical appearance. The wheel arches, like the Kwid, feature plastic cladding that adds strength to the design. The roof rises slightly towards the back to increase interior space. In terms of rear-end profile, the taillights are shaped like a teardrop. The "TRIBER" insignia is prominently displayed between the taillights. Another skid plate is located at the bottom of the rear bumper, adding to the vehicle's rough appearance. Speaking of body dimensions, the car is 3990 mm in overall length, 1739 mm in width, and 1643 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2636 mm.

Renault Triber Engine and Gearbox

2023 Renault Triber is powered by a zippy 1.0-litre, 999cc, 3-cylinder, petrol engine that uses multi-point fuel-injection technology. This engine is capable of generating 72 HP at 6250 RPM and a max torque of 96 Nm at 3500 RPM when coupled to a 5-speed manual or 5-speed MT & Easy-R AMT. It is also outfitted with cutting-edge technology, such as a dual VVT system that provides optimal responsiveness at all rpm, ensuring maximum acceleration. The 5-Speed EASY-R AMT provides a smooth and pleasant drive. It has the Traffic Assist feature, which enables easy driving in city traffic. Moreover, you may switch to manual mode to better fit your driving needs.

Renault Triber Interior, Instrument Cluster & Boot Space

Step inside the new Renault Triber and you will be welcomed by a cool and airy cabin. The interior of the MPV is finished in dual-tone black and beige shades. The dashboard is also finished in two-tone colour but it also gets silver accents that enhance its beauty. Adding to the premium feel of the cabin is the use of premium quality material. The huge infotainment touchscreen on the centre console adds to the Triber's upscale air. The infotainment system supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and the touchscreen is simple to use and incredibly quick to touch.

The essential criteria for an MPV are to seat a large number of passengers, which the Triber does. It has a seven-seat design with detachable last row seats and a 40:60 foldable second row. As a result, you may convert the vehicle into a 2, 4, 5, 6, or 7-seater as desired. There is enough headroom and legroom in the first two rows, however, the third row’s legroom is not sufficient for tall adults. But children and average adults can sit there freely. The seating is impressively comfy and the ingress and egress are also quite easy which makes it a true seven-seater MPV.

The instrument console is an LED unit that gets different colour themes for different variants. For instance, the RXE instrument console has an Amber colour while the RXL and RXE+ have a white colour instrument cluster. The boot space is really short for a 7-seater configuration as low as 84 litres but it can be extended to 320 litres for a 6-seater configuration and 625 litres for a 5-seater configuration.

Renault Triber Brakes, Suspension & Tyres

Braking in the new Renault Triber is done by the disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. While the suspension duties are assigned to McPherson Strut with Lower Triangle & Coil Spring at the front and Torsion Beam Axle at the rear end. The MPV rides on different size wheels depending on variants. There are two size units on offer: 165/80 and 185/65.

Renault Triber Key Features

Renault has loaded the new Triber MPV with a plethora of features which add to its worth significantly. These include projector headlamps with LED DRLs, steering-mounted audio & phone controls, 6-way adjustable driver seat, LED instrument console, 20.32cm touchscreen mediaNAV evolution, electrically adjustable ORVMs, HVAC Knobs with Chrome Ring, push-button start/stop, rear view camera, 12-V socket, remote central locking, cooled storage in the centre console and much more. As for passenger safety, the car comes fitted with four airbags, ABS+EBD, speed alert warning, rear parking sensor, pedestrian protection, impact sensing unlock and so on.

Renault Triber Top Speed, Acceleration & Mileage

2023 Renault Triber accelerates from 0-100 kmph within 17.35 seconds and can reach a top speed of 140+ km/h. As for as mileage is concerned, it can be 18-19 km/l which is combined fuel efficiency. However, it can be varied depending on various factors including terrain, traffic, driving style and maintenance.

Renault Triber Variants & Colour Options

2023 Renault Tiber comes in a total of 10 variants called RXE, RXL, RXT, Limited Edition, RXT Easy-R, RXZ, RXZ dual-tone, Limited Edition Easy-R, RXZ Easy-R and RXZ Easy-R dual-tone. And the offered colour scheme includes shades named Metal Mustard, Electric Blue, Moonlight Silver, Ice Cool White and Cedar Brown.

Renault Triber Ex-showroom Price & On-Road Price

At present, the ex-showroom price for the RXE variant starts at Rs 5.92 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 8.51 lakh for the RXZ EASY-R dual-tone variant. To distinguish between off-road and on-road pricing, the ex-showroom price of a car is the asking price that does not include the cost of road tax, insurance, or registration. The on-road price, on the other hand, includes all of the aforementioned costs as well as insurance, registration, a one-time road tax, an extended warranty, and all vehicle accessories. It is important to note that on-road prices in our country vary widely from state to state.

Renault Triber Competitors

2023 Renault Triber MPV directly competes with the likes of Maruti Eeco, Datsun GO+, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Kia Carens, and Maruti Nexa XL6.

Verdict - Should You Buy Renault Triber or not?

To begin with, 2023 Renault Triber receives a unique and well-designed interior configuration. It is feature-rich, with up to seven seats, many seating permutations and combinations, and a million storage areas. Furthermore, its exterior stands out, with a fully up-to-date and purposeful design that bears little resemblance to the Kwid. If you are looking for a true seven-seater MPV with good quality, a spacious cabin and better ride and handling, you can surely go for it.

Discussions and Answers Renault Triber

Which is better between Mahindra Bolero Neo and Renault Triber?
03 January 2023 05:36
After researching both the Mahindra Bolero Neo and the Renault Triber, it's clear that they have different strengths and weaknesses. The Bolero Neo is a more affordable option and is great for city driving and short trips. Its 1.5 liter engine is designed for fuel efficiency and offers plenty of power for city driving. However, its interior is not as luxurious as the Renault Triber's and its performance on highways is not quite as good. The Renault Triber offers a more luxurious interior with plenty of storage space and comfortable seating. Its 1.3 liter engine is also designed for fuel efficiency and provides good performance on highways. However, it is slightly more expensive than the Bolero Neo and may not be as well-suited for city driving. In conclusion, both cars have their own advantages and disadvantages, so it really depends on your individual needs and budget.
