The MG Astor Blackstorm Edition is available in both manual and CVT transmission options, with prices starting at Rs. 13.45 lakh for the manual and Rs. 14.46 lakh for the CVT. The powertrain remains unchanged, with the 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 108bhp and 144Nm of torque. I think the addition of these transmission options will cater to a wider range of consumers.
The Astor Blackstorm Edition is part of MG Motors strategy to boost sales during the festive season. The company has also launched a Snowstorm Edition of the Hector SUV, indicating a focus on special editions to attract more customers. I think this approach could be effective in capturing market attention and driving sales.
MG Motor has introduced several unique features in the Astor Blackstorm Edition, including red brake calipers, smoked-out headlamps, and a JBL speaker system. The interior also features Sangria Red-themed AC vents and red stitching on the steering wheel and door trims. I believe these details enhance the overall driving experience and aesthetic appeal of the vehicle.
MG Motor India has launched the 2024 MG Astor Blackstorm Edition, a special variant of the Astor SUV, ahead of the festive season. This edition is based on the mid-spec Select trim and features an all-black exterior theme, including a black honeycomb grille, headlamps, and bumpers. The interior boasts Tuxedo Black upholstery with red stitching and Blackstorm embroidery on the front seat headrests. I believe this cosmetic overhaul gives the Astor a sleek and exclusive look that will appeal to many buyers.
The MG Astor Blackstorm Edition retains the same mechanical specifications as the standard Astor, including the 1.5-litre petrol engine and Level 2 ADAS features. This ensures that the special edition does not compromise on performance or safety. I believe this consistency will reassure potential buyers about the vehicles reliability.
