About
The Maruti Swift DZire Regal Edition is a variant of the second-generation DZire, known for its blend of style and practicality. The Regal edition stands out with its leather beige upholstery, faux wood inserts, and door sill guards, giving it a premium feel inside. The car is powered by either a 1197 cc petrol engine or a 1248 cc diesel engine, both available with manual transmissions, and a petrol automatic option. It features automatic climate control, rear parking sensors, and other comforts like body-colored mud flaps. While it lacks some modern safety features, it remains a comfortable and reliable choice for daily driving, with a good balance of performance and fuel efficiency. The cars design, though not revolutionary, is sleek and appealing, making it a good option for those looking for a stylish yet practical sedan.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Maruti Swift DZire Regal Edition is a solid choice for those seeking a blend of comfort, style, and practicality. While it may not stand out in terms of groundbreaking innovation, it excels in its core strengths. The interior, adorned with leather beige upholstery and faux wood inserts, adds a touch of elegance. However, the compromise on safety features in older models is a significant concern. The refined diesel engine and comfortable ride make it a great option for daily use, but potential buyers should weigh the trade-offs, especially considering the advancements in newer models. Overall, its a reliable and comfortable car, but it may not be the best choice for those prioritizing modern safety standards and advanced features.
Price
The Maruti Swift DZire Regal Edition, which was part of the 2011-2014 lineup, is no longer available for purchase as a new vehicle. However, for historical context and those looking at used car options, the ex-showroom prices during its time ranged from approximately Rs. 5.50 lakh for the VXI variant to Rs. 7.59 lakh for the top-of-the-line ZDI variant. On-road prices would have been slightly higher, factoring in taxes and other costs, likely ranging from Rs. 6.5 lakh to Rs. 9 lakh. For used car buyers, prices will vary based on the vehicles condition, mileage, and age, but you can expect to pay significantly less, potentially in the range of Rs. 3 lakh to Rs. 6 lakh depending on these factors.

Maruti Suzuki has launched the fourth-generation Dzire, which is based on the new Swift but features distinct styling and additional features. The new Dzire includes a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charger, and a segment-first electric sunroof. It also boasts a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP.

The fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire will continue to use the Heartect platform but will have a completely new design, including striking new front and rear bumpers and an aggressive grille. It will also feature sleek LED headlamps and dual-tone alloy wheels. The Dzire will have a boot space of 327 litres, slightly more than the previous model.

Maruti Suzuki has confirmed that the new Dzire will be available only for private consumers, while the third-generation Dzire will be sold exclusively to fleet and cab operators. This strategy aims to differentiate the two models clearly in the market. I think this is a smart move to cater to different customer needs.

The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire has achieved a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP, a significant improvement over the previous models 2-star rating. This makes it one of the safest cars in its segment. The Dzire also features a 360-degree camera and tyre pressure monitoring system.

The new Maruti Suzuki Swift and Dzire share the same engine, a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol unit, but the Dzire will also get a CNG option later. The engine in the Dzire produces 81 bhp and 112 Nm of torque. I believe the addition of a CNG option will make the Dzire more appealing to budget-conscious buyers.

Maruti Suzuki has emphasized the design differences between the new Swift and Dzire, with the Dzire now looking entirely distinct from its hatchback sibling. The Dzire features LED taillights with Y-shaped inserts and a chrome-accented boot lid. I think this new design will help the Dzire stand out in the market.

The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width, and 1,525 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,450 mm. It has a ground clearance of 163 mm, similar to the previous model. The dimensions are largely unchanged, but the new design gives it a fresh look.

Maruti Suzuki has not announced any plans for a Regal Edition of the Swift or Dzire, but they have introduced special editions for other models like the Baleno Regal Edition. This edition adds premium appeal with various accessories and styling enhancements.

The new Maruti Suzuki Swift has been launched with a starting price of Rs 6.49 lakh. It features a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and six airbags as standard. The design includes a rounded-off grille, updated LED DRLs, and fresh alloy wheels. I think these updates make the Swift a strong contender in its segment.

Bookings for the new Maruti Suzuki Swift have opened for Rs 11,000, ahead of its launch on May 9, 2024. The new Swift will be available in five variants: LXi, VXi, VXi (O), ZXi, and ZXi+. It will come with a new 1.2-litre petrol engine and both 5-speed MT and AMT options. I believe the new engine and features will enhance the driving experience.
Mileage
Thursday, 21 November 2024 01:50 AM
The Maruti Swift DZire Regal Edition offers respectable mileage, especially with the diesel variant. The manual diesel engine provides an ARAI-certified mileage of 23.4 kmpl, while the manual petrol variant offers 19.1 kmpl. The automatic petrol variant is less efficient, with a mileage of 17.4 kmpl. These figures make the diesel version particularly appealing for those concerned about running costs, especially for long drives or daily commutes.

Maruti Swift DZire Regal Edition Discussion
This is just a gimmick my Maruti!! Everyone who has booked beware that for all the accessories you need to pay Rs.18,000 extra on top of the price mentioned. I had booked a vehicle in Khivraj motors, Perungudi ,Chennai. After I partly paid and booked the Regal the dealer calls me and says"Sir sorry all the accessories mentioned you need to pay extra". I am very upset by Maruti being a customer for a long time. So everyone dont just get cheated by the look of it. You need to pay extra for all that!!! to cover a VXI variant.. Really funny
whats new in this regal...
