About
The Maruti Eeco is a multipurpose vehicle (MPV) that has been a staple in the Indian market since its introduction in 2010. It is available in both 5-seater and 7-seater configurations, with sliding doors that facilitate easy ingress and egress. The Eeco is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 81PS and 104.4Nm of torque in petrol guise, and 72PS and 95Nm in CNG mode. The engine is paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The vehicle features a simple yet functional interior with basic amenities like manual AC, cabin lamps, and sun visors. Its compact size and light steering make it easy to handle in city traffic, while the flexible seating arrangement adds to its practicality. Despite its lack of modern features, the Eeco remains a reliable and economical option for family use or commercial purposes.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Maruti Eeco, while not an electric vehicle but rather available in petrol and CNG variants, is a practical and economical choice for those seeking a versatile people mover or cargo carrier. It offers ample space for either 5 or 7 passengers, along with a flexible seating arrangement that can be converted to increase cargo space. The 1.2-litre petrol engine, though outdated, is reliable and fuel-efficient, especially in its CNG guise. However, the Eeco lacks modern amenities such as power steering and central locking, which could make it less appealing to some buyers. Its stiff suspension can be uncomfortable on long drives, especially for rear passengers. Despite these drawbacks, the Eeco remains a value-for-money option, particularly for commercial use or small families looking for an affordable and reliable vehicle.
Price
The Maruti Eeco is priced competitively in the Indian market, with ex-showroom prices starting from around 5.32 lakh for the base 5-seater petrol variant and going up to 6.58 lakh for the 5-seater CNG variant. On-road prices, including taxes and other costs, can range from approximately 6.2 lakh to 7.8 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. Given its price point, the Eeco offers a compelling package of space, fuel efficiency, and reliability, making it a strong contender in its segment. However, the recent price hikes have pushed the Eeco closer to the 6-lakh mark, which might make some buyers consider other options.
Mileage
Thursday, 21 November 2024 10:06 PM
The Maruti Eeco boasts impressive fuel efficiency, with the petrol variant offering an ARAI-certified mileage of 19.71 kml and the CNG variant delivering 26.78 kmkg. In real-world conditions, users have reported mileage ranging from 18 to 20 kmpl for petrol and around 22 kmkg for CNG. This makes the Eeco an economical choice for daily commutes or long drives, helping to keep running costs low.

I received my car 8 days ago but they now say it is in critical condition and I was unable to carry on my journey.
Best Features: It is like Xylo
Pros: Front facing seats
Cons: No spare parts, high service cost
It's a big car at small amount. I bought my Maruti Omni in 2013 as I need a car that accommodate my whole family of 8 members(6 adults and 2 children). Though there are SUV's in the market for that purpose but my budget didn't allow me to buy one. Now, I am happy that my whole family fits happily in my Omni. In the terms of look though, it is simple but its a good deal in many other way. It comes with normal steering wheel but believe me it is too light to use. It provide good ride on the rough roads but on high speeds it loose balance sometimes. It has a good ground clearance and I am in love with such vehicles because it provides good ride quality. It returns me mileage of 13kmpl on city roads and 11kmpl on rough roads. On the other hand, safety is a question and gear shift quality requires improvement.
Best Features: Affordable Price
Pros: Price, Tall Seating position, Cabin,
Cons: No Power steering, Lack of rear AC vents.
