The Force One SUV SX ABS 7-seater is a significant offering from Force Motors, marking their entry into the passenger SUV segment. This vehicle is powered by a 2.2-liter, 4-cylinder, turbocharged intercooled common rail diesel engine, producing 139 bhp and 321 Nm of torque. It features a 5-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive, with an option for four-wheel drive in some variants. The SUV boasts a ground clearance of 205 mm, which is quite impressive, and it comes with features like rear AC vents, parking sensors, cruise control, and a height-adjustable driver seat. The interior is spacious, accommodating seven passengers comfortably, and includes amenities such as projector beam headlamps, LED daytime running lights, and a roof spoiler. Despite its discontinuation, the Force One remains a viable option for those seeking a rugged, reliable, and spacious SUV with good performance and decent fuel economy.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Force One SUV SX ABS 7-seater is a robust and spacious vehicle that, despite its discontinuation, still offers several compelling features. My experience with this SUV has been mixed while it boasts a strong German-engineered diesel engine producing 139 bhp and 321 Nm of torque, its interior quality, though improved, does not quite match the premium standards of its competitors. The vehicles design, inspired by Chinese SUVs but with distinct elements like projector beam headlamps and LED daytime running lights, gives it a unique presence on the road. However, the lack of modern amenities and the relatively low sales figures indicate that it struggled to compete in the Indian market against stalwarts like the Mahindra Scorpio and Tata Safari. Overall, its a solid choice for those seeking a rugged, seven-seater SUV with good ground clearance, but it may not be the best option for those looking for cutting-edge technology and premium interiors.
Price
The Force One SUV SX ABS 7-seater, although discontinued, had an ex-showroom price of around Rs. 12.70 lakh in India. When it was available, the on-road price would have been higher, typically ranging from Rs. 15 lakh to Rs. 16 lakh, depending on the city and state taxes. As an automotive reviewer, I must note that the pricing was competitive, but the value proposition was not strong enough to attract a larger customer base. If you are considering purchasing a used model, prices would vary based on the vehicles condition, mileage, and location, but you could expect to pay significantly less than the original ex-showroom price.
Latest Updates
Tuesday, 08 May 2018 07:31 AM
The Force One SX ABS 7-seater has a spacious interior with seating for seven people and independent air conditioning for all three rows. It also features a manual air conditioner, remote central locking, and fabric seats. The SUVs ground clearance is 205 mm, which is decent for Indian road conditions. I think the comfort and space it offers are its strong points, but it needs better market positioning.

The on-road price of the Force One SX ABS 7-seater in Delhi is around Rs. 17.35 lakh, making it a mid-range option in the SUV segment. The vehicle comes with a 2149 cc diesel engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. Despite its competitive pricing, it has not gained much traction in the market. I believe the company needs to focus on enhancing the brands image and expanding its dealership network.

Force Motors has been considering the termination of the Force One SUVs production and sale due to poor sales performance. Despite its robust engine and comfortable features, the SUV has struggled to compete with rivals like the Mahindra Scorpio and Tata Safari. The company managed to sell only 3,008 units from November 2011 to January 2016. I believe the lack of brand recognition and limited dealership network were significant factors in its failure.

The Force One SX ABS 7-seater variant is equipped with several notable features, including anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), projector headlamps, power windows, and electrically adjustable outside rearview mirrors. It also boasts a turbocharged intercooler engine producing 139 bhp and 321 Nm of torque. I think these features make it a decent option in its segment, but the market competition is too fierce.

Force Motors launched new variants of the Force One, including the EX and SX models, in an effort to revamp the SUVs appeal. The SX variant, in particular, offers additional features like rear AC vents, parking sensors, and cruise control. However, despite these updates, the SUV has not seen a significant boost in sales. I believe the pricing strategy and marketing efforts need more attention to attract more buyers.
Mileage
Wednesday, 20 November 2024 06:40 PM
The Force One SUV SX ABS 7-seater offers a mileage of 17 kmpl, as per the ARAI certification. In real-world conditions, this mileage can vary, but it generally stays around 14-16 kmpl, which is decent for a diesel SUV of its size and power output. This mileage is crucial for those concerned about running costs, especially given the current fuel prices in India. While it may not be the most fuel-efficient option in its segment, it provides a reasonable balance between performance and fuel economy.
