Yamaha has unveiled a new sport tourer called the FJ- 09 at the 2014 EICMA show. Based on the FZ platform, this three cylinder budget tourer will hit global market starting December.

Sunday, 10 November 2024 10:13 AM Owners of the FJ-09 have noted that while the bike is versatile and powerful, it lacks certain features like cruise control, which is only available on the more expensive Tracer 900 GT model. This has led to some owners considering aftermarket kits to add cruise control, although these can be costly and complex. I think Yamaha should consider making cruise control more accessible across their models.
Sunday, 10 November 2024 11:10 AM The FJ-09, known as the MT-09 in some markets, has been praised for its performance and hooligan-like character. However, the transition to the Tracer 900 has brought more refined and touring-oriented features, which may appeal to a different segment of riders. I believe this shift caters well to those seeking a balance between performance and comfort.
Monday, 06 November 2017 06:00 PM The Yamaha FJ-09 has been replaced by the 2019 Tracer 900 and Tracer 900 GT, marking a significant update in Yamahas sport touring lineup. The new models feature redesigned seating, improved wind protection, and a longer swingarm. The GT version includes additional features like hard bags, fully-adjustable suspension, a quick shifter, cruise control, and heated grips. I think these updates make the Tracer 900 a more appealing option for long-distance riders.
Tuesday, 24 May 2016 07:57 AM In a long-term test, the Yamaha FJ-09 demonstrated its reliability and performance over 10,000 miles. The bikes suspension was updated with progressive-rate springs, enhancing its handling and comfort. This update shows Yamahas commitment to improving the riding experience. I believe this makes the FJ-09 a solid choice for those looking for a versatile and durable motorcycle.
