Mahindra Diablo Comments
I am not sure this is the original look of the bike becaue i saw the same byk in the official website of Magelli motocycle company....
There is a British Compnay called Megelli. They are also manufacturing the same design & SYM is building it for them. There variation is 150cc & 250cc though. Its available in our country, Bangladesh. Costs 1.7K BDT. It has looks only & nothing else. Hopefully Mahindra will make a difference. Take care guys.
Hmm... nice but power seems to be less... WRT 300cc engine..
Oh! shut up everyone......who have posted against 'DIABLO', it's d best bike so far!Can beat any indian bike; including 'NINJA' awaiting desperately for it's launch......."AWESOME!"
This bikes is so good.
Much better than other companies bikes, Good design and not much expensive Diablo is good designed bike. Good looking.
I dont think that this is the actual picture of Diablo, as it does not have inverted front forks and does not have a radiator too.
Why aren't Indian manufacturers understanding the need of customers. We need a fully faired 250cc producing around 30 hp at a competitive price.
I think this bike would storm into the Indian market and uproot its competition. Low bhp for such powerful engine means less wear and tear and good mileage with optimum power to cruise effortlessly on Indian road conditions. A very sensible bike for India by an Indian, as is expected by MAHINDRA. My sincere best wishes with a hope that i could afford this DIABLO soon.
Ninja is not manufactured in India, it imported into India as CKDs and just assembled here. So, you pay extra import taxes on the ninja, thus the high price. On the other hand, Mahindra is going to manufacture its Diablo bike in India, thus it can price the bike so competitively. The market between karizma ZMR and ninja is vacant. This bike would definitely kill the ninja market. Such a bike was definitely needed in the market for powerful city riding on bad roads and weekend riding on country roads.
Guys, if u read articles on net, you must know that this bike is made for indian market, it gives 30 kmpl which is no way given by ninja as one of my frinds own it, besides ninja got a FI and this one is CDI, FI requires very good quality petrol which is not possible everywhere, 2ndly the spares of ninja and service cost is way high than thats anticipated for Diablo and cevalo.
Moreover this bikes look lighter than ninja, just looks lighter i dont know exactly, so power 25 bhp with light weight and power 32 bhp with more weight of ninja is compensated....overall mahindra diablo is a good choice for indian roads..
My dear friends, this bike will be nowhere near ninja, by the looks of it it looks air cooled. A 300 cc bike producing 25 bhp is not technologically advanced, its primitive. in terms of technology R15 is still undoubtedly the most advanced bike in the common mans reach(yes that includes the ninja).
And the amount of power will obviously mean it will probably overtake an r15 on the straights, but an R15 will still beat it when it comes too race tracks mountains et al. at best this is a well designed street fighter, defiitely not a sports bike. plus i feel the bike will not have rear drums instead there will be discs as is the norm with most high end bikes now, mileage will be about 30 may be lesser, not more.
All in all i feel the bike will be priced at around 1,10,000 and not 1.5 lacs as everywhere publicised. plus i feel pitting it against the R15 will actually be a very stupid thing to do, mahindra , a tractor maker offering a sports bike pitted against a race bike maker!!! however the promotionals look like thats exactly whats happening. however i do agree this is a very good step forward for indian biking
Look at the bike closely the back side is a copycat of yamaha fz series or which look more or less like frazer the front is good but looks like a cycle is modded to a bike just look at the tyres which look so toyish then the hefty price tag and still what?? its a commuter bike which has a 300 cc engine with a low power of 25 bhp so now think why kawasakhi ninja is 3 lakhs and this at 1.5 lakhs
Cant beat NINJA ....
BAD LOOKS. WHO WANT TO BUY A COMMUTER BIKE AT RS. 1.5 LAKHS.
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But power output should be atleast 40bhp bcoz 250cc bikes are producing around 30-35bhp.
GOOD one for sports enthusiasts, however for touring it could be a letdown, however too early to rate, could beat R15 in terms of technology and reliability, well again too early to rate, will keep fingers crossed for reports on test ride
