A lot of riders will find 40 PS to be the sweet spot. Being fun without being intimidating is enough. Very nice for daily riding and weekend trips.

I think it's in a weird spot. It’s too much for beginners, not enough for experienced riders. Maybe RE missed the mark here.

This is exactly what the Indian market needs. Exhilarating, yet not so exhilarating that it is unworkable for our roads and traffic.

With this power output, it’s a great all rounder. It can be your week commute and your weekend fun in the twisties.

It feels underpowered compared to its rivals, I worry, and 40 PS isn't bad, but it's not exactly thrilling.

It's a smart move by RE. It fills the gap between their lower powered bikes and more serious performers out there.

It's not the power that's the issue, it's how it's delivered. If it's smooth and usable, 40 PS can easily do the job for a majority of the riders.
Will the Royal Enfield Roadster 450’s modern features turn off traditional RE fans, or bring a new audience to the party?

It’s a smart move to include modern features. In order to continue to be relevant, RE needs to evolve while still not irking the core fanbase, which should attract the younger riders.

This worries me because it will lose that classic RE charm. The simplicity was part of the appeal. Don't have too many electronics or you'll ruin the experience.

RE could really use these features. On one hand, they can continue to keep making classic models for purists, but the Roadster must compete with modern bikes.

While the modern features are icing on the cake, as long as the bike still has that RE character, I am fine with it. It's the best of both worlds.

The new tech makes me happy. RE is serious about improving their bikes and not just doing it relying on nostalgia, as it shows.

The older models will always have the purists. This is RE’s shot at showing that they can do modern without losing their soul.

It doesn't have to be the fastest on paper to the KTM. For riders who want performance but don't want aggressive ergonomics, the Roadster will be the ticket.

The riding experience may be totally different, even if it doesn’t win on a spec sheet. Not everyone wants to be riding a high strung bike like the Duke.
