BSA Motorcycles has unveiled the BSA B65 Scrambler, a new 650cc scrambler based on the BSA Gold Star 650 platform, at the Birmingham Motorcycle Live Show. The bike features a rugged and modern design with a smaller round headlight, a beak-like front fender, and a single-piece seat. It is powered by the same 652cc single-cylinder engine producing 45 bhp and 55 Nm of torque. I think this bike is going to be a strong contender in the scrambler segment.

The BSA B65 Scrambler is expected to launch in the UK by December 2024 and in India by early 2025. It is likely to be priced around Rs 3.40 lakh to Rs 3.45 lakh, which is a premium over the BSA Gold Star 650. The bike will compete directly with the Royal Enfield Bear 650 in the Indian market. I believe the pricing will be competitive enough to attract a lot of buyers.

BSA Motorcycles showcased a concept version of the Gold Star 650 Scrambler at Motorcycle Live 2022, but the recent unveiling at Motorcycle Live 2024 shows a more production-ready model. This indicates that BSA is serious about bringing this model to market soon. I think this is a great move to capitalize on the scrambler trend.
