Similar to its predecessor i-10, the i-20 will be manufactured exclusively in India and exported to other countries. The i-20 model, which will come in many variants, is expected to be priced anywhere between Rs 5-6 lakh. The i-20 is likely to be equipped with an automatic gear box to facilitate convenient driving. Hyundai i20 has been largely built on the lines of the compnay’s premium hatchback - i30 that has already been launched in Europe and Korea. It has a low slung grille in the front, with large headlamps and round fog lamps. The windscreen has been sharply scraped, in a way that it flows smoothly and merges with the fresh tail section.

 

The interiors of the car are top-quality and have been fitted with elite plastics. The seating layout is pretty flexible and quite similar to i10. In fact, from the inside, the car will be even more spacious than Getz. The i20 will be having a better quality plastic and comfortable seating and interiors with more room space for luggage. i20 will debut in Spetember at Paris Auto Show & will be launched in India in December 08 or in first quarter of 2009.
